Scanpan Classic 12.5" Chef's Pan with Lid

This functions just like the stainless version I have - and it cleans up much more easily. It can handle a 500 degree oven and still clean up beautifully (just tried this tonight). It will do a large volume of food - I really love this pan. I especially love that it was $124.95 instead of regular price of $179.99. Worth it either way, but it was a bit pricey for as at the full price.

I love this pan! I have had this now for a year and it still looks great and works great. I bought this to replace 2 pans I had: a large Calphalon non-stick hard-anodized fry pan with cover and an Emile Henri brassier. I had both several years. But the brassier was expensive and it had developed a hair line fracture when I switched to an electric stove top. The Calphalon non-stick surface started to lift up, as with every other Calphalon non-stick I had tried. They never seem to last very long. My Scanpan is going strong a year later and still looks great. When frying, it browns nicely. I usually use a little oil, but just a bit. I love frittatas and they come out great in this pan. I used my brassier to bake fish and make stews. Again, this Scanpan works beautifully for both. It can go from the stove top to the oven. And cleaning is pretty easy, with a few caveats. Generally, the non-stick surface works well and even burnt sticky stuff comes off pretty easily. I love the outside which does not stain, unlike the Calphalon anodized surface. Only 2 things that take effort. The bottom of the pan is stainless and can get discolored over time. But an occasional scrub with a Bon Ami or Bar Keeper’s Friend brightens it right back up. What drives me crazy is getting the top clean and streak free. It always looks like it’s greasy. I found a wipe with white vinegar after washing let’s me polish it up shiny. Now you can put Scanpan in the dishwasher, but mine is really large so I just wash it. Considering what I paid for this pot compared to the 2 it replaced plus how well it has performed, I would give it 10 stars if I could.

Simply the best. Forget all the others.

Scan Pan is worth the money. I have only several of their products lines and they all out perform! You get what you pay for with these. Very rarely a sale but the stand the test of time! My cast iron is great but heavy. These cook evenly and last forever before layers come apart. Not stick for years.

Yes, this line of cookware is expensive. And yes, it is worth it. I have a gas stove, so I do not have a "must be level" issue. This pan just replaced 3 older pieces of cookware (I did keep my Revereware pan - sentimental). It heats and cooks evenly, uses less heat to cook completely, and cleans up like a dream. The manufacturer says this can go in the dishwasher, but I do not do that with my good pans. I have decided to replace all of my old cookware with Scanpan items.

There is NOTHING I like the least about this Scanpan. Just prior to purchasing it, I purchased a complete set if AllClad Copper Core. I just wish I would have found this treasure first. It is well worth the money. NOTHING sticks in it. It simply wipes out with a paper towel, then a quick wash and it's ready to dry and put away. Water even rolls up on it for easy drying.

I bought this pan in October of 2023. Since then I purchased three more of this same pan to give as gifts to my daughters and I purchased another Scanpan for myself. I have used this pan a lot and loved it. I used wooden tools and it has never been left to overheat- it is always hand washed. In fact I just rinsed it out and dried it with paper towels. However today I noticed bubbling around the inside edge of the pan. The nonstick surface is peeling off!! How disappointing!! My Amazon support ran out in Oct. 2025!!! Scanpan.com will not honor warranties for Amazon sales. So in other words their warranty for my purchase is worthless. This is just neither fair nor ethical.

I love my new pot. Nothing sticks to it. Great for vegans.
