We had been putting off buying a fire guard for our log burner for a while, as we have an awkward p-shaped hearth and we weren't sure how we could secure a normal guard around it. We also wanted something discrete that wouldn't distract from the rustic charm of our converted barn.Well I'm glad we found the BabyDan hearth gate.It fulfills our brief perfectly. It has multiple sections which you can adapt to your particular fireplace with ease and you position the opening gate where you need it to be to access the fire. You can add or remove extension panels as necessary and even purchase additional extensions if you have a particularly large fireplace.In terms of fixing, it can be screwed into the wall, but we haven't got that far yet and despite this I can rock on the gate without it even attempting to fall over, which shows you how sturdy it is.Aesthetics-wise, it looks fab, the black metal means it ties in nicely with the log burner and it's doesn't actually look out of place.The metal stays cool to touch once the fire is lit and we have no issues with our little girl playing in the living room when the fire is going now.As a bonus, the guard can also be adapted for use as a room divider; great if you have an open plan living space but need to section off a baby safe area for your little one.Yes it costs a lot more than the cheapest fireguards but you definitely get what you pay for. It's well designed and looks the part.

Brought this for safety as our front door opens near to the road, it keeps our dog safe while answering the front door. Easy to install. Very well made and sturdy. Pleased with purchase.

Needed it to stop our 1 year old from going towards our fireplace. We had our local handyman install it - it didn't take too long for him and he said it was easy to put up - I'm not very good at these things! It is very sturdy and has so far managed to keep our little one out of harm's way and dissuade any interest in the area which is exactly what we needed it to do, so full marks in that regard.It seems pretty sturdy so far and does have an additional two sections which could be added if we needed to increase it's area.Loses one star for two reasons:1. I think for what it is, it's very expensive as most child safety products are...which is wrong in itself!2. The entry gate/the door/whatever you want to call it is very fiddly to open and not particularly sturdy in itself. Also, it isn't very big - it's awkward to get through when I have to do something in the fireplace itself, so even though it's great at a keeping a child out entirely, it makes it very difficult and awkward for an adult to get through and do something too, and that's when it's open!

I buy many items from various website but very rarely leave a review. I always read reviews before I buy an item so I felt I needed to write a review for this item.It works perfectly as a room divider to stop our puppy going into areas we are not ready for him to whilst toilet training. It was easy to put together by myself (plus 50 years old!) Fits in a straight line over 3meters and can be put into other shapes to fit/suit your room/areas. I have not fixed the wall brackets as I didn’t need to. It works perfectly for our situation. One of the best purchases I have made. It does the job.

As we are presently making our house safe in anticipation of a visit from our 14 month old grandson, we were looking for a sturdy fireguard suitable for a wood burning stove. The BabyDan fits the bill perfectly. It fixes easily and securely to the wall and is solid in construction so there is no movement. I like that we can still access our stove via the gate which is built in to the fireguard. We considered various sizes before purchasing and chose one which maintains a good distance from the stove. The system is flexible and you can choose where and how you fit the different sized panels to suit your space. It is also possible to purchase extension sections. We struggled to find a radiator cover for a very long radiator in another room so we decided to buy a second BabyDan and you can see from the photo that it works perfectly, keeping toddler away from a very hot radiator. I can also continue to use my dryers on the radiator. The other good point about BabyDan is that there are videos which clearly demonstrate how to affix the fireguards, that can be accessed via the Onbox app. We have just used one of these to aid the installation of our third BabyDan purchase, a safety gate for the top of the stairs, another excellent product.

I use this baby gate to keep my Terrier dog at bay, this gate is very strong, metal design and fits just right at my front door, I have not secured to the wall….yet, but left standing in place keeps him inside but it is possible to knock it over, it blew down one day, if it was to keep a baby in it would need to be secured to the wall (brackets are provided) as it could land on the baby and it is made with solid painted steel rods.It’s good and strong and better than other light flimsy Barrie’s that I bought. You can get this in bigger longer (extensions) parts from the same supplier.Babies and Toddlers can be stronger than you think. Secure this gate to a wall on both sides and your babe is in a safer place.Cannot praise this enough

Ottimo prodotto!Resistente e assolutamente sicuro!Ferro e attacchi in plastica.Il mio bimbo lo utilizza anche come supporto per tirarsi su in autonomia.Non male come design.Lo abbiamo preso per proteggere il nostro bambino da due rampe di scale e grazie alle diverse possibilità di misura, abbiamo risolto il nostro problema per niente scontato!Lo consiglio vivamente!

J'ai acheté cette barrière dans un but très précis, j'ai un fils autiste qui a peur de mon chien, et lorsque mon fils est là le week end, mon chien doit rester bloqué dans son parc 24/24. J'ai donc acheté cette barrière pour séparer mon salon en 2, afin que mon fils soit d'un côté et le chien de l'autre, mes 2 autres enfants pouvant passer par le portillon pour aller d'un demi salon à l'autre, donc le but était de démonter la barrière le lundi matin et de la remettre le vendredi soir. Je pensais que la barrière se pliait comme un accordéon mais en réalité non. Alors le point positif pour ce qu'elle est censée faire à la base, c'est à dire protéger un enfant d'un endroit dangereux, le fait qu'elle ne se plie pas une fois installée, permet de renforcer la sécurité, un enfant ne peut pas la plier donc accéder à une cheminée par exemple en pliant la barrière, donc pour ça, c'est à dire pour ce qu'elle est censée faire, elle est parfaite. Pour moi, ça reste un peu contraignant de l'installer et de la désinstaller. Je réfléchis à savoir si je la garde quand même ou pas, car je la trouve vraiment bien, elle est discrète, solide, facile à monter même si c'est un peu contraignant d'être obligée de le faire toutes les semaines, elle se module comme on veut. Je ne la fixe pas au mur bien entendu puisque je l'enlève la semaine, mais malgré ça, elle tient très bien et ne bouge pas. En tous cas, si dans mon cas bien particulier, j'hésite à la garder à cause du montage et démontage fréquent, je la recommande pour tous les parents d'un bébé qui ne doit pas aller à tel ou tel endroit car je la trouve vraiment parfaite pour ça. Je mets 5 étoiles même si pour mon cas, je lui mettrais 4 étoiles pour le démontage et montage hebdomadaires mais à la base, elle n'a pas été conçue pour ça, donc je ne peux pas faire autrement que lui mettre 5 étoiles pour son usage habituel.

Es muy buena barrera un poco bajita para perros como labradores, pastores alemanes, golden etc la saltan si quieren, nosotras la tenemos montada en una peluquería canina para proteger de la puerta exterior y desde que la montamos estamos mucho mas tranquilas de que no se cuelen entre los píes, se adapta perfectamente al espacio, se abre y cierra genial psra ambos lados y el material es muy bueno.
