Good Flavor
I just love all kinds of coffee. The Seatle's Best Post Alley Dark is pretty good as coffees go. I gave it 5 stars because I taste nothing wrong with it and it's a good value for such good flavor, even though I have had much better tasting as I'm sure most probably have. But, overall, it's definitely worth the price to have good quality coffee verses the mainstream overprocessed stuff in cans.

Oh so FRESH & Yummy!
We are Hazelnut lovers! This coffee is packaged securely and so fresh! We love Seattle's Best. I have traveled extensively, flying daily and always seek out Seattle's Best. Interestingly enough we don't care for Starbucks as it is too strong and expensive, but Starbucks did own Seattle's Best and sold Seattle's Best Coffee to Nestlé in October 2022, ending Starbucks' ownership of the brand that began in 2003. Seattle's Best is just milder and a pleasant drinking experience.

My go-to coffee, but with a recent hiccup
I buy hundreds of dollars' worth of Seattle's Best Post Alley coffee every year, more than any other brand, probably by a 10:1 ratio. That's not because Post Alley is my absolute favorite coffee in the world. It's about bang for the buck: Post Alley offers a consistent dark roast with robust flavor and aroma, without any of the off flavors you often get from cheaper beans (especially that wheaty, wet-cardboard taste that is an absolute disqualifier for me), and it does it at a price I find acceptable for my primary coffee. That has been true for several years now (since I stumbled on Post Alley while trying various brands through Amazon during Covid lockdown): consistent quality at a reasonable price.Until now.A recent shipment (a 3-pack of 12 oz.) had obviously been processed by a different facility than usual. The packaging was identifiably different -- a black twist tie rather than white, and the heatseal at the top of the bag was so tenacious it could only be cut, not easily torn open.It only went downhill on opening the bag. Almost zero aroma, except the off smell of a blend of cheaper beans. Not as dark a roast, and an inconsistent, coarser grind. And the brewed product? Half the good taste, with, sure enough, that wet-burlap note I detest. So, to the Seattle's/Nestle's folks, if you read these: You obviously know what production lot/facility I'm talking about. I want to be clear: that product was inferior in every way. I'm hoping it was a one-off that stemmed from some temporary exigency. But if it reflects your new intended standard going forward, you will have negated everything I said above about bang for the buck. And I will quickly find another brand to be my new go-to coffee. You delivered a good product at a good price for many years. I'm hoping you'll keep doing so.
