Q: How is it pfoa and ptfe free when the box indicates the non-stick coating is teflon?

It would have to be a misprint because this is a ceramic pan therefore the ceramic IS the non-stick coating and it wouldn't have any teflon in it PFOA-free or otherwise. The Onyx Collection uses a PTFE teflon for non-stick coating but the teflon is 100% PFOA-free which is suppose to be completely safe & non-toxic. In the past it was solely the PFOA content that was responsible for the potential health risks of PTFE Teflon non-stick coatings, and I believe that now by law all teflon coatings for cookware must be 100% PFOA-free therefore it should be safe & non-toxic.

Q: Can this pan be used to braise poultry or meat?

Hi - It’s an amazing pan- perfect for eggs n omelette. 6 out of 5 stars! But...for braising no- we recommend All Clad or Cast Iron not this pan. Hope that helps.

Q: does the grill pan works on induction cooktop.? I see one place says it does and another says it doesn’t. ?

I have the square egg one, which I bought specifically for our induction burner, and it definitely works. There's a metal plate that's bonded to the bottom of the pan.
