Very useful!
I thought this kind of stuff was for people who are overly OCD, but after my students kept losing their pencils, I decided to give it a world. This has worked so well for my 4th graders. I thought they would think it was stupid, but it turns out, they loved it and liked having a place to keep up with their pencil. At the end of the week, I give a small reward to whoever kept up with their pencil. When I first started this, I labeled everyone’s pencil with their number. I’d recommend this to anyone OCD or not. It’s a great way to teach kids to keep up with stuff!

I’m finally keeping pencils!
After my students have been losing SO MANY pencils, I finally have a system in place to keep pencils! It’s easy to determine, with a quick glance, who hasn’t returned a borrowed pencil. Love, love, love this!

A good solution to classroom pencil problems.
I teach middle school, and have tried for years to come up with a way to manage pencils. Students frequently come to class without anything to write with, so I've always kept extras on hand. However, I kept running out because so many kids were borrowing but not returning. This year I started using this Pencil Parking pocket chart. Every kid has an assigned number, and can borrow that pencil if needed. At the end of class, I can tell at a glance who hasn't returned theirs. I still lose a few here and there, but nothing like previous years.

Great Buy
This is a great place to put extra pencils in my classroom. All of my students have a number. If they forgot their pencil they just go and get the one with their number on it. At the end of class they return it. Very easy to check if they were all returned.

Answer to money spent on pencils.
Haven't started using this with students, but I think it is going to be awesome. I have it hung and it seems to hold the pencils well.
