I am very pleased with this oil. I've been struggling for about 5 years with my hair and scalp since I did a keratin straightening kit at home with bad results. My hair was acting like it was very protein sensitive with lots of breakage, excess shedding/hair loss, and tangled hair that would become like dreadlocks overnight. I tried a few drops of the karkar oil right after I received it, and it seemed like I had some hair breakage. I wanted to try again, so I added half a teaspoon to my diy olive oil and mango hair butter, and I am super excited with the results. My hair is so much softer and it seems like the excess shedding and breakage is almost completely under control. My hair definitely feels fuller, and I think it looks like it's growing faster, too. Even though I added the olive oil and karkar oil at around the same time, I've tried olive oil in the past and I was never this impressed with the result. I'm really glad I gave this a try.

I just received this oil.. been wanting this for months now .. and it's LEAKING EVERYWHERE and UNSEALED!! Very costly for such an important LACK. Also it's extremely light in color, more on the rusty yellow.. WAY lighter than advertised and ZERO GRIT..SO I'M VERY SKEPTICAL ABOUT THIS PRODUCT. Where's that good GRIT?!! omggggg.. I'll update this review after I've tried it.Update: its nice and seems effective, you only need a little because it's going to make the hair very greasy.. seems uniform and nice to the touch...best as a hot oil treatment..

I've experimented with countless hair oils, but none have come close to the moisturizing power of this one. The moment I applied it, I was blown away by the results. This was my first foray into non-vegan hair care, opting for a product inspired by the ancient traditions of our ancestors, and I'm beyond impressed. It's remarkable how effectively it has shielded my hair from damage. I'm eager to explore the entire product line. It's astounding how transformative this single oil has been, and I can confidently say I'll never look back.

The above bottle shows the ingredients clearly. I was excited about the sesame and both ostrich oil and cow tallow. I specifically bought this oil for the ostrich oil. The ingredients in the new packaging mentions cow tallow but no ostrich oil. I was very disappointed. The smell of the oil is nice, but I probably will not repurchase because I am on the hunt for an ostrich oil product.

I bought this to use along with the Jamaican black caster oil and it made the castor oil go on smooth and didn't fill heavy. My hair felt soft and moisturized.

Before I used this I had my husband smell to tell me what he though and I found it pleasant. I’ve been alternating this oil with the paste of the same brand and I’m so sorry I haven’t found it sooner. It looks think and gloppy but a little goes a long way and my hair feels, smells and looks so much better. Can’t wait to transition back to unprocessed hair. My new growth is soft and strong and the shedding and breaking has stopped.

This oil has a wonderful smell. I use it as a growth oil in combination with a number of other oils. I also use it in my traditional hair mask with is a combo of this oil and chebe powder which works wonders for hair retention and shine.
