This is a GREAT family set. I was in desperate search for a doll family for my 2 year old's dollhouse that were easy for her to pose and stand up, but weren't horrendously ugly. That's a fairly tall order, until we found these. I also have the Melissa and Doug Victorian family, and though I prefer those dolls in style, they are more "barbie-like" - bendable plastic. They don't pose easily and they have tiny little feet and though they CAN stand up, it's not something that's easy to do consistently, and it's impossible for my daughter.These are fantastic. They are far cuter in person than the pictures. I love that they're wood and all non-toxic. They all have over-sized feet that make them super easy to stand, and they bend and pose easily. We use them in a 1:12 scale dollhouse with Le Toy Van furniture and it's easy to bend their legs at the knees to have them sit in chairs.All their limbs are rope-covered wire. My husband thinks the Dad looks like a dork (he does), but that's our only complaint. One note - all the dolls have a block for a torso with the rope limbs extending from it... so you can't really pull the pants or skirts down lower than mid-waist because they'll fall off. It's not a big deal at all, but it's not obvious from the picture why all the pants/skirts are pulled up so high!If I was designing my perfect doll family, I wish there was an option for a same-gender siblings (we have two daughters and wanted a doll family to mimic her real family), but I know that Plan Toys sells individual boys and girls, so that's a nice option.

I LOVE a wood toy !Love this little fun set.They are little not like barbie doll size.Last for YEARS fyi even after a dog chew.Hope my review was helpful.

This family is really cute. I thought long and hard though about buying it since a baby is not with the family and the age child I am buying this for would love to have a baby with the family. Plan Toy, please add a baby to the family! Had trouble with the red hair bangs - they were sticking straight up when I got her, have been working to get them down,but havent been able to yet. Am having a hard time keeping the mothers skirt on - it keeps sliding off. I"m about ready to glue it on. The boy and his hoody is really cute. The bendable parts are great , although you have to work with them for awhile. But they can sit on chairs, etc. I also love it that they can stand up! All in all a great set. We got this set for our 5 year old grand daughter (to go with her new dollhouse) and she loves them. I also purchased the single blonde girl to be the sister :-)

We love the Modern Dolls from Plan Toys! We have the All Season House and in addition to that: the Dining Room set, Children's Room set and the Family Car. As for the dolls we decided to go with Plan Toys Modern Family. The dolls are dressed a little more modern than all other dolls and their hands are made from wood, not plastic as the Hape dolls. The Plan toy dolls are a little taller than Hape, but still fit the house, furniture and the Family Car perfectly! So happy with the whole purchase!My only wish is that someone would finally manufacture grandparents that are a little more modern, than the ones that can be purchased separately at Plan Toys or in a set at Hape. They look a lot more like GRATE grandparents than grandparents of today.

I wanted this for my daughter's upcoming dollhouse family. It was surprisingly hard to track down a Hispanic girl doll. This one is adorable. Sadly, the one I received is just in a magenta short sleeved pink dress. Not as adorable. It's still a Plan Toys Hispanic girl doll, and I'm sure my daughter will love it anyway. But it's never fun when you get something other than you expected.

I recently purchased a doll house for my daughter and looked long and hard for some dolls. These dolls are fantastic! I like the fact that they are "ethnic" and not just Caucasian. They are very durable and flexible and my daughter loves to play with them. I guess my only beef about the product would be that it had to come as a family and they all had only one skin tone. I am Hispanic but am very fair skinned and my daughter is mixed (Hispanic and African and American) and has slightly darker skin and very curly hair. I would have liked to be able to pick and choose the family members so that they looked a bit more like us, instead of a family that is all one race. However, overall I am very happy with this purchase and would do it again in a heartbeat.

My daughter recently got a small wooden doll house, and it came with a lot of furniture, but no people. I purchased these people to go with that wooden doll house and she absolutely loves them. They are small but bendable and come fully dressed. They're super fun and safe for toddlers. My family has been really enjoying playing with them.

I bought these because they were the most modern-looking and cutest of the wooden dollhouse dolls I could find. Our family loves Plan Toys and these dolls do not disappoint by way of quality or appearance (Darling!). They are sturdy enough that my 2 year old son can make them stand. My only disapointment is that they are bigger than what I expected and don't fit well with our Ryan's Room dollhouse furniture-- All of the dolls are too long for the beds we have-- But this is my fault for not measuring/checking. We use them with our dollhouse anyway and my son really doesn't seem to care that they're a bit big.
