First time user of a hoof boot soaker for me and my horse. He accepted it right away.It doesn't make a rustling plastic noise so didn't worry him whilst he wore it with mid pastern height warm water for 15mins.Didn't use the pad based on other opinions of it not really being required.Using this boot and poultice material on my own, so appreciated ease of use single handed.My horse is a fine build 15hh Arab and this boot was good for him size wise. I would say too small for the 17hh Irish draught sports horse on the yard.Excellent value for money and overnight delivery with Prime.

The product was perfect for what it was bought for and easy to use

It’s not easy if you have a horse with a width of 19cm to always get the foot in square and toe at the front wish it was made so it follows the shape of horses foot. But if I can shift around I need it for2 x 10 mins soak per day so it will do.

Keep the hoof clean and dry till abscess had healed

This was completely useful and a waste of money. The boot is massive, I only needed to soak my horses leg up to the level of the fetlock (14.3 Connemara), but I had to fill the boot with a lot of water and ice to reach the fetlock which meant it was very heavy and this freaked my horse out. The straps did not keep it secure as the weight of the water in the boot was too much and when my horse moved it slipped down. It also had a hole in the boot which meant it leaked slightly. I have sent these back as they do not work. I found that using a small non waterproof poultice boot with a polythene bag in it worked a lot better.

brilliant idea! Wish it was taller and more durable - perhaps out of Wellie boot/silicon material?
