Great Strings
I bought this set of strings to use while playing Rocksmith(+) and I really like them. This set is actually helping me learn the strings. That they match up perfectly with Rocksmiths used colors is really nice. No problems yet and I've had them for a couple months now.Definitely recommend! 5/5

Pretty good strings—very easy to see compared to standard monochrome metal strings.
These strings are very easy on my fingers. (Perfect for beginner) They sound pretty good. I like them because it is easier for me to to discern between the B and high E strings visually. First batch was flawless. The second batch lost some. Colors also make it easy ti refer to a particular string without using EADGBE or whatever.Of the colored coating. These strings really pop out under black light. Not as bright sounding as raw metal strings but less muffled than other plastic coated strings

Nice quality strings and potentially very useful for Rocksmith
I mostly play bass and when I started trying to learn guitar with Rocksmith, I found that I was having trouble getting the colors of the first three strings (G, B, and e) down pat in my mind. I would always go for the wrong string when they came up on the chart. I bought these in the hopes that they would help me get the colors down.I was surprised by how good the quality of these strings was. I expected cheap, flimsy strings, since the main draw here is the colors, but these strings sound and play great and are very durable. The color also lasted much longer than I expected; after playing every day for a month, it had barely faded at all. Also, have no fear about the color rubbing off onto your fretboard or picks, it doesn't.I have two main problems with the strings, though. The first is that they don't visually "pop" as much as I thought they would. I put them on my white Les Paul, thinking that the colored strings would really stand out and give the guitar a cool look, but that wasn't the case. The only string that really pops is the yellow A string, the rest look a bit muted. This isn't a huge deal if you're using them primarily for learning, but if you're looking to give your a guitar a unique look, you should look elsewhere. The biggest problem in my opinion is that the colors of the first two strings, B and e, are very hard to see, even close up. I understand that this is probably because of the thinness of those strings, but it was disappointing to me since these were the strings that gave me problems. Sure, you can kind of see the green on the B string in good lighting, but the e string doesn't even look like it has a color. If you're looking to just have a visual reference for all of the strings, this should work. The rest of the colors are nice and clear, if a bit dull. The strings themselves are nice too. I just wish they put more work into making the thinner strings more readable.

Fun!
Tape strings a little different than metal or nylon, so don't expect them to feel or sound like metal or nylon. The average person would not notice the sound difference, but a seasoned guitarist or audiophile might pick up on it.They seem to hold tuning as well as metal strings. The feel is a bit difficult to describe. The tension is very similar to metal strings, but there is a temperature component that makes them feel different to the touch. They're tape wound, so they conduct heat differently, so perhaps that's why. It's akin to feeling the difference when you touch plastic versus metal even when there's no way of distinguishing otherwise, you can feel the surface difference. The friction (and string noise) is also different than metal. Plus, being tape, they're not going to oxidize, so this might worth trying if you have sweaty or acidic hands. (Think Elixir strings. The images I posted show a set I put on 6 years ago. It's not my main instrument, but I do noodle on it quite a bit and have done a few gig with the 'rainbow' strings. The main wear is noticeable wherever the string touches the fret; the tape wears off and you can see the shine from the metal core.)But at the end of the day, they're colourful strings! Everyone gets a kick out of them. I've strung up most of my guitars with them at this point. I have not used them in the studio, but for shows, they're similar enough in sound to not matter.

Sound decent, but high E came unwound from ball end straight out of package and coating flakes fast
PROS:I dig the color a lot.The tone is overall pretty decent- especially for a coated string.Contrary to what a few others have mentioned, these strings stabilized on my guitar VERY quickly and they hold their tuning extremely well (perhaps just better initial stretching technique when installing on instrument?).CONS:The high E string (purple) came unwound from the ball end before I even put any tension on it so I had to put the old E string back on.... (which was really a bummer because, although I've accidentally broken my fair share of strings during installation, I've never had one of the bare (unwound) strings just straight up fray and unwind itself from around the ball end before even putting any tension whatsoever on it...)The color coating looks pretty cool, but it starts flaking off and all over the guitar halfway through the second song you play on them- especially the green B string (see photo).

Fun and great for the money
These great. A fun twist for my play guitar. Only played a little on them but they sounds good. I have Dr acoustic strings that I love so hopefully these work just as good. The only thing that is minor but wierd is that they chose not to make them in correct color order haha

Excellent for Rocksmith
Purchased these to help me learn guitar on Rocksmith 2014 Remastered. They are color coded exactly as the game is and makes learning string and finger placement a breeze. I have bought 3 pairs of these for each of my guitars and will continue to do so until I not longer need to look down at them. Also, I'm not sure but these don't hurt my fingers as much as the original strings that came with my guitars when I bought them, but that also could be a product of me playing for almost 2 weeks prior to their purchase. If you are looking to learn guitar and you want something to give you a helping hand these are definitely the strings to go with.
