HAPPY CLIPPING
I love these clips! I have wavy, medium thickness hair, and these clips have extra teeth inside that hold my twisted -- way better traction for clip -- pulled-up hair perfectly. Love the hidden wing design that, unlike winged clips, doesn't look like I'm about to fly away, nor do they uncomfortably press into the back of my head by the headrest while driving. The wings are easy to lift and push down -- no tension springs -- but, since they're plastic, be gentle with use and they'll likely last a long while. Of course, frequent use of plastic clips could mean a shortened clip life span, so, buy a few and rotate your clips so not overused. Enjoy!

Buy in Bulk - you're gonna love them so much
If ever I found these in CVS's I used to buy all their stock. Thankfully I can get them online now. Perfect medium size to hold back all my hair, subdued colors without any unnecessary bling. The best thing about these is that it lays flat - both top & bottom! The teeth that grip the hair are not the scrape-y, sticking-out-at-an-angle kind - they lay flat against your scalp. ALSO the finger tabs that you use to pinch it open will fold down so they don't stick up either, and the back of your head has a nice smooth outline, and for example when your head touches the headrest in your car, it's not awkward. The stress point on the product is the finger tabs, which are just plastic with a bit of metal, and these eventually break off, but I get a lot of use out of them before needing replacements. I buy a bunch and keep them everywhere - bedroom, bathroom, car, work, kitchen.... and I've gifted them to many grateful friends :)

My hair accessories
I love them. The blacks are more durable and beautiful. Brown are also beautiful but not as resistant and blacks

Great design for long thin hair! But don’t lie down on them.
I absolutely love these hair clips. I have very very long thin curly hair, and I like to have something to hold it up that isn’t as tight as a ponytail. My old favorite hair clip broke, so I searched for a new one and decided to try this. They are a great size for my hair. The clip is big enough twist my hair up and clip it to my head, and it holds the hair I want it to but isn’t so big that it falls out. I also love that you can “fold” the wings into the clip to make it less obvious. The only problem I’ve noticed is that they don’t seem as sturdy as I would like. They work just fine under normal conditions, but if I lie down with the hair clip on the back of my head, putting much pressure on my head to get back up again sometimes cracks the clip. I broke one of my clips this way and I am very bummed about it. I would still buy these hair clips again, and just try to be careful when I lie down (or take them out).

Clip folds down
I love this lobster claw clip because the clip you use yo open, folds down fort a smooth look. Not a "butterfly" look. Hard to find in stores. So grateful to find.

Neat folding tabs, but one broke
Scunci is a common brand for hair clips like this. I have had many before. These are unique in that the tabs you use to open and close it can fold down once it is in place. I like that aspect, but unfortunately the first one I put in my hair after opening the package shattered into pieces. Stuff happens, I get that, but when I tried to return them (intending to get a replacement package) I ran into something I had never seen. Rather than being able to return them through Amazon (which is a smooth process) I was directed to contact the manufacturer. This didn't seem worthwhile for such an inexpensive item, so I grumbled for a moment and then just kept the one that still works. The one that works is fine... nothing special, but it does hold one's hair as expected. If you get a package that has two workable clips you'd be just fine.

Love. My Go-to Hair Clip
These aren't all that easy to find in stores next to all the banana clip products with stick up wings/grabbers. So, I was happy to find them here on Amazon.Being able to fold down the little bits you use to pinch the clip open means the hair clip is smooth and will not catch on a hat or scarf, or on a t-shirt as you pull it over your head, or poke on the headrest in a car or chair, or yank your bun as you turn on a pillow or with covers in bed (I regularly sleep with one of these on a bun slightly to the top-center of my head). The flat bottom on the claw also makes this more comfortable against your head if you lean on it.I love these. They hold great and are so comfy, and it takes months of daily wear before the folding clip eventually breaks. I just wish they came in packs of single color (I buy these 2-packs for the reddish-brown and toss the black ones.) And I really wish this design came in a nicer material. These are inexpensive, but they look cheap/like plastic (especially the black) and I would be very willing to pay a lot more for this design in a nice copper or silver construction.note: I have long but fine hair, so this is big enough for me to fasten a bun, but might be small for those with thick locks.

These are the only things
I found some of these in a store about 30 years ago. Ever since then, I've had to hunt to find them, but it's worth it. They are the only thing I wear in my hair these days. They break occasionally, but I've had them last longer than my much more expensive refrigerator, so there's that. As long as I can still find these somewhere when they break, I will replace them. Nothing sticking out. I've actually fallen asleep wearing them without them bothering my head.
