Seems adult to me. My medium fits perfectly and I'm an adult...at least I think I am.

My kiddo has a 30 inch size chest and waist, he is 54 inches tall (about 4 1/2 feet tall), I got a small for him and it fits him great. I would measure around your chest and waist, and determine the size from there.

I honestly don't know. I got a size medium and it fit my husband. I would imagine get the smallest size and try that.
