The practicality of this product, along with Manfrotto's typically outstanding built quality, combine to make this an item most photographers will find indispensable in the studio. A superb alternative to the bulky and balky boom systems more commonly used to position lights low to the ground. And (to my surprise) it works well even with large and relatively heavy lights.

Great stand. Very light weight but sturdy at the same time. I purchased several for a sound calibration kit and have been very happy with the stand.

It's a good, well built stand. I would have given it 5 stars if it used the fold flat legs of Manfrotto's light stands.

Great stand to hold an iPad with: iPad bracket not included. :)This does not have big ol outrigger legs, so some people may consider this top-heavy with an iPad attached.As the description says: this only goes about 4 ft high: maybe not high enough for some.You'll need a thread adapter to convert from the smaller thread size to a standard mic stand thread: cheap and easy. I own two of these stands.

Like most Manfrotto studio gear, this one is made very well. The 3rd stage gives you a bit more height than the base model backlight stand. Overall, very good build quality for the money.

Sturdy light stands, like all Manfrotto products!! I have used Manfrotto for the last 30+ years, they are superb products for the right price!!

good for small flash heads , but if raised high , can be wobbly with heavy heads .
