Applies easily (not too thick or too runny) and gave me good protection in the sun. Worth noting that it is not waterproof though!

Good for sensitive skin, works well, keeps the sun off being Factor 50 and makes for a good value for money purchase.

I hail from New Zealand where the sun is extremely harsh, and I religiously slathered on body lotion with an SPF factor every single day. I was gobsmacked when I moved to the UK (10yrs ago) that such an essential product is near impossible to find!I am so happy to have finally found this in Makari's body lotion. It is very light and absorbs quickly into the skin, leaving it feel soft and refreshed. It goes on more like a body lotion than a sunscreen and amazingly doesn't leave white tracks on your skin at all. You can use this as a daily body cream without feeling like you're wearing sunscreen at all, and there is no need to apply any additional moisturiser - it does a fantastic job of hydrating the skin. It has a subtle scent, with a very slight hint of sunscreen smell, but pretty non-offensive.I have extremely oily skin, and tend to get breakouts on my face and back - even now in middle age. Sunscreen typically exacerbates this, which is why I am so overjoyed with the discovery of such a nice and lightweight lotion. I already have a daily SPF for my face, which I don't want to mess with, but I wouldn't hesitate to use this on my face if I was out at the beach and/or needed extra protection.I've noticed a few comments about the lid being tricky, and it is a bit different. You pull off the cap and there is a small white plug attached that goes into the nozzle. My theory is that this stops it leaking when travelling, and makes it easier to avoid getting sand and dirt in the cream. So a little annoying maybe, but in my opinion a clever design that saves more annoyance later.Finally, I do think £27.99 is a bit over priced - it's a pretty small bottle, especially if you want it for everyday wear like I do. I would be happy paying under £25, but I think £20 is a more realistic price for this.All in all a lovely moisturising lotion for everyday wear and protection from the sun, highly recommended.

🔹INTRO & DESCRIPTION🔹I chose the Makari sunscreen, as I have mature skin which easily burns, so I wanted something to both moisturise and protect my skin.It is SpF 50, and contains 150 mls.🔹OPINION🔹&🔹CONCLUSION🔹The bottle has a security seal when it arrives. Once opened it has a little tab under the lid, which you just lift of to squeeze the lotion out. This avoids using too much.I was pleased to see that the product is cruelty free which is important to me when choosing beauty products.The lotion has a pleasant perfume which is not overpowering, and the soft fragrance can still be detected after several hours. It doesn’t have the usual “suncream” smell, it’s more like a moisturiser.I tried it on the back of my hand, and you can see from my photos where I have shown “Before” rubbing it in, “During” as I smoothed it into my skin, and “After”, once it had been absorbed. It left my skin feeling soft and smooth with a delicate fragrance. There was no trace left on my skin, and no oily residue.It is very “creamy” in texture, and is very “white”, so I am not sure how it would perform on darker skin tones. My skin is very pale, so there was no evidence of it left on my skin after rubbing it in.I cannot comment on the sun protection aspect, as it is still Winter here in the UK, so there is no strong sunshine. I will test it out further in the Summer, but I do have high hopes for this product. I have to be careful when out in the sun, due to my fair skin and freckled complexion.Priced at £27.99 it is not the cheapest, but if it does what it says, and protects my skin from the sun’s harmful rays, then it is a price worth paying.

This is a pricey bottle of sunscreen but I guess you can’t put a price on protecting your skin!The lotion absorbs into the skin well and doesn’t feel tacky at all. It smells amazing and leaves your skin feeling incredibly moisturised.My main complaint is the lid! It is really hard to get it off of the bottle and each time I pull it off it removes the stopper part from the opening of the bottle. (See photo) It’s a bit annoying as it can be a bit messy with the suncream coming out with the stopper. If you keep this bottle in your room on holiday then you could leave the lid off, but I think it could be a bit of a nightmare to use on the beach.This sun cream has a high SPF of 50. Perfect for use on holiday abroad where the sun is hotter, but also great for use on sunny days in the UK.It doesn’t state that it’s waterproof but it is clear that you must re-apply after swimming and at least every 2 hours.In summary, this is a nice smelling, moisturising sun cream that has to be applied a lot and is quite expensive. It could also benefit from a better designed lid.

This is really good, moisturising and doesn’t feel thick like some others. Right in my holiday bag!

This is a certainly a high quality sunscreen that does the job it claims to do and does it effectively.It has a great consistency - not too thick and not too thin which makes application easy. It sinks into the skin and leaves it feeling deeply nourished and moisturises whilst smelling amazing. One of the best sunscreens in terms of smell that I've had the pleasure of using.One thing I do like is that it doesn't leave a white residue which is an issue you sometimes get with such high factors. It sinks into the skin and dissapears making it perfect for everyday use.I neglected the importance of protecting my skin from UV rays in my younger years so I will be using this everyday in the summer to give me that needed protection.
