Don't take random advice from strangers on the internet ;)I have a (now) 70lb German Shepherd with EPI on these capsules. When she was first diagnosed, I was giving 1 capsule per 1.5 cups of food. She definitely showed improvement, but that was less lipase than recommended for treatment, so I boosted her to 2 capsules per 1.5 cups of food. In the 2 months she's been on these, she's shown marked improvement - stools are firm and the right color, she's gained back 10 of the 15lbs she lost before she was diagnosed. My vet suggested that I boost to 3 per 1.5 cup, but I haven't done so yet as she's responding well to what she's being given and I don't see a need to waste. Every case of EPI is different.. some dogs retain some pancreatic function, others have none, and it can even change over time one way or the other - you may need as many as 5 per 1.5 cups/food - it's up to you to watch the dog and figure out what's working best.Understand that you're dosing according to the amount of food that you're giving and not the weight of the dog. Basically, give your dog a good diet (it should be high protein, no grains, low fat for EPI) based on their weight and figure the enzyme based on the food. The more meals a day you can feed, the better (I started at 4, I'm down to 3).I sprinkle the enzyme over her food, put in a bit of warm water, mix it all together, and let it soak for 20 minutes - this will help prevent sores in their mouth from the enzyme getting stuck in there and also jumpstart the digestion process. I was putting about 1/4 cup of chicken breast in with her meals for the first couple weeks to speed up the muscle-building recovery process, but I didn't need to continue that.It took about a week for the stools to recover completely and about two weeks before I saw ANY weight gain.Hope this helps.

My son has completely changed using this wonder. He couldn't tolerate anything savory, or with oil. Many nights we spent crying together because he was in pain digesting the food he ate earlier.
