Absolutely Love but Price Hike OUCH
I had my original Cross pen for 14 years and refilled it, and it was my favorite. I was thrilled when my kids went in on another Botanical Cross Pen for Mother's Day last year. Unfortunately, I misplaced my first one and went to replace it, but the price is outrageous at over $100! A year ago, the kids got the identical pen for $80. I would love to buy another to replace the missing one, but the price is too steep.

vERY NICE AS A COLLECTOR'S PIECE OR GIFT~
This product came packaged beautifully. It is nicer than it is pictured. It has a great weight to it. The ink flows well. It came with black ink for the roller ball. It would have been nice to have come with purple ink to match the decor of the pen. I bought extra ink in purple for when the black runs out. I was not disappointed at all. VERY NICE!

"Fine" nib writes like a "Medium" for SURE!
I was enchanted when I saw this collection of Cross Botanica pens! They are all so beautiful and unique - playful yet delicately gorgeous - it was hard to pick just ONE. I opted for the Green Daylily fountain pen with a FINE nib. I just LOVE the twinkly gold accents that are 3-dimensional, and the finely-drawn flowers are almost Indian Moghul in style - exquisite. As others have pointed out ... the box looked kind of battered and old - as if it'd either been returned once already or sat on a shelf for years. Even so, it came to a loving home. A manual and 2 cartridges were hidden under the pre-formed pen holder in the box. The pen is thin - so those with larger, meatier hands may find it doesn't quite fit the hand. I have small, bony-fingered hands, so it's a perfect size.Be warned that the so-called FINE nib (and mine actually says it's fine) writes like a typical MEDIUM nib pen. The ink comes out thick, wet and BOLD. It will be great to put my signature on cards and letters with this pen. But it is NOT by any means a fine-nibbed pen that you would typically find. I bought a converter the better to fill my new Daylily pen with a gorgeous shade of Kelly green ink! It came with 2 cartridges that appear to be blue ink - bah! You can't put boring blue or black ink in such a feminine, colorful pen!I love it! I would be very tempted to buy at least ONE more of these Cross Botanica pens in a different pattern. It's a great price for a gorgeous pen, and with its so-called FINE nib, it writes really smooth altho BOLD.

Lovely Cross fountain pen
This is a stunningly beautiful fountain pen with just the right amount of bling to add a little whimsy to it. The silver accents look amazing. It writes very well most of the time, but is not quite as consistent with various inks as the much less expensive and very popular Pilot Metropolitan pens. That is the only reason I didn't give it 5 stars. For the price, you'd think it would totally outshine a $20 pen, but except for its unique appearance, it doesn't. (To be fair, neither do many other pens!) I'm not at all unhappy with it, though, and I use it a lot. I chose the F nib, but it is not quite as fine as some other F nibs. It comes with two ink cartridges which I have not used yet. For using with bottled ink, you need to purchase the screw-in 8756 converter separately, which I did. This is a lovely pen and along with a nice bottle of ink and the converter, would make an elegant and very unique gift for the woman who has everything.I think the product page contains an error. This pen does not have a gold nib. The nib is stainless steel, which is not a problem.Diamine Damson (smoky purple) or DeAtramentis Alexander Hamilton (deep purple) are pretty choices if you want a purple ink to go with this pen. Or for an unusual blue ink in a gorgeous bottle, there's the more expensive Iroshizuku Kon-peki.

Lovely little pen...
I happened upon this pen when it was at an excellent price, less than $60 when I'd seen it from online retailers around $120 earlier in the year. I had to snatch it up to try it. It's a nice pen. Very wet writer. It honestly writes more like a Bold nib than a Fine nib. I'll admit that I am a little biased about that though. I have very small handwriting so I need a nib that is truly fine and I tend to favor Japanese pen manufacturers due to that. I do like this one though. For those moments when I feel like I need to make a Bold statement. (Both due to the width of the nib and the extravagance of the pen's decorations.) It's actually got a nicer quality body than I was anticipating. I'd heard negative things about Cross pens, but this one really exceeded my expectations. I like it well enough that I may have the nib customized in the future to lay down a finer line. I have very small hands so I appreciate pens like this, that have a good weight without being too large for me to manage with. I also have to say the decorative details look much nicer in person than they do in any of the pictures I've seen. I hope this helps someone, there don't seem to be a terrible lot of reviews out there about this pen!

Wedding gift
She is a beautiful woman and a good friend, I work in a courthouse and she is a judge’s assistant. She has been approached to be appointed to a judicial position. I bought her this pen so she would have a beautiful writing instrument to sign her name.

A good pen.
This pen was brought for the fact that it came with a warranty and looked different enough from pens other people use that it would not be picked up by anyone by mistake. It takes a while for ink to flow and there have been a number of times that I have had to shake the pen to get the ink to flow. I would not have expected that from something that cost more than £50. But one thing I can say is that I do not have to worry about dirty fingers due to ink leakage. And on balance I don’t mind having to shake a pen to avoid the dirty fingertips. So overall a good pen that looks hardwearing.

Always know where they are because if you lose them you WILL be devastated!
This was the final addition to my collection and I was not disappointed, only for the fact there are no more! again like the rollerball it was by far the cheapest on the internet and in the shops I had visited so thank you Amazon! This is the most beautiful of the set to write with, you can use cartridges or buy a converter and use bottled ink. There are many choices of colours of ink so it’s not only beautiful it’s creative and colourful too. I have a leather three section pouch to protect each pen. Don’t buy a cheap holder these pens deserve the best!

Seems ok for daily work duties.
Bought this as a birthday present for my partner. She loves it. She uses it daily at work and has reported one or two dry starts. Though she was using Diamine ink rather than the cross ink supplied with it. Not sure if that would make a difference. On the who'll she seems to love it.

Given up writing
I’ve had this pen for a while now and it has completely given up. When I first got it it didn’t flow well but I hoped it would improve with use. It didn’t get better and I have used it very rarely. I’ve gone back to it now and the flow is scratchy and very inconsistent. Have to press very hard to get any ink out and no ink at time. A real shame as cross pens have been great in the past. It is a beautiful pen and lovely to hold so I’m really disappointed with the quality of writing. It’s unusable.
