Nice Clamp With Raised Bottom Jaw
Good and sturdy. Bottom jaw is raised from the "C" and helps in some cases to clamp things.

Easy C Clamp to work with.
I own several Irwin C Clamp sizes from 2" to 8'' & use them all for wood projects big & small. They work good with clamping large pieces of woods like 2'' x 10" down to molding size 1" x 1" , 2''x2''s. Do a lot of clamping 2" x 4"'s to 2"x2"s. Great double thread Spindles with ease. Nice to have C Clamps with all your other wood clamps to work with. All my C Clamps are Irwins. They add to my collection of wood clamps.

This an excellent medium duty clamp for the price!
I have used a lot of clamps over the past 50 years, and these are very well made, they use good materials, and are about as HD as most people would ever need. Having said that, if you really do need serious heavy steel clamps for heavy material steel clamping and such, this will clamp most jobs, but do not try to use it in place of the very expensive steel clamps that take a stout wrench to tighten. For hand use on wood of all types, light 1.8" steel and aluminum, etc. I am sure that you will find these to be a great deal for the price(I paid about $2 each). Remember: these low cost aluminum frame clamps will do a LOT, but they are not a $20 steel framed unit. Use wisdom, hand tighten only, and you will have these the rest of your life. I have owned these Irwin clamps from 2" up through 5 & 6 inch. All have served me very well. Enjoy.

Irwin C-Clamps
Great bang for the buck here. Clean operating screws & nicely finished, heavy solid construction for a great price. These will prove useful for both woodworking and welding, not to mention all those little miscellaneous projects where you need another hand just to hold sumpthin' for ya'. I drenched the threads, screws, ball and swivels in Boe-Shield right out of the box. I see no reason why I shouldn't get a lot of service out of these C-Clamps.
