The cape is a thinner velvet black which is nice because I didn't want anything heavy. Although, I do not like the velcro necktie. I think it would have been better with cloth tie or ribbon. That is my only complaint and it would be something easy to switch if you can sew by hand. I'm just going to cut off the velcro tie for ribbon and sew the ribbons on by hand. Overall, happy with the cape and quality for the price! I'm 5'4" and it the perfect floor length.UPDATE: Wore this for halloween and it was great besides leaves getting stuck on the bottom of cape. I went to a Halloween party with a couple bonfires and when walking around I realized I picked up several leaves that got narled in the end of the cape. So be careful!

The material is nice and it doesn't feel cheep. I'm 5' tall so I knew it would be too long but figured I can hem it. Turns out it drags the ground maybe 2", not enough to bother hemming it. So what if it drags the ground a little. The one thing I wish is that it was a little wider. It does drape over my shoulders about the same as it shows on the model in the picture, so it's not misrepresented, but I feel like it's barely covering my shoulders and I will be tugging on it all night trying to close it more. However, I only need it for two nights and for the price it's fine.

Worked fine for what I needed it for, seemed to fit fine as well. But it was a little cheaply made for the price. Not really worth it.

I was expecting a cheap plastic or imitation silk fabric. But this looks like velvet and has a soft texture to it!

I bought this for my husband's Phantom of the Opera costume and it is the perfect length (actually a tiny bit longer than I expected it to be on his 5'9" frame). The only complaint is that it is definitely made only for women to wear (or men who have very slim shoulders). It barely fit around my husband's shoulders and his aren't very broad/wide. The only other thing of note is that this is not a thick cape and WILL NOT keep you warm (not a concern for us but for others it may be). Otherwise, we are so far rather pleased with the material and quality.

This was the perfect cape. It came down to my heel which was perfect because I wore boots for my costume. For reference, I am 5’2. The material was amazing and looked more expensive than it was. It hung over both my shoulders nicely and was great for spinning. The only issue would be that the velvet collects dust easily but that’s not really an issue.

Overall I like the cape and it was definitely exactly as it appeared online. My only complaint is that I would have liked for it to be a little wider to cover more of my shoulders. Other people complained about this too, but there is really no way of knowing how it will fit you personally until you receive it.

This is a great buy for the price and I am very pleased with the purchase. I personally did not like the collar (but that is simply my personal tastes) and I would have preferred a button/snap to hold it in place rather than the Velcro. I am generally small and thin, and the way the collar is made it feel uncomfortably tight around my neck, but I was able to use this product for the reason in which I purchased it without any issues and aside from my minor particulars, feel this product was of excellent quality for a low cost, costume piece.

This is a basic black velvet effect cape which but its well worth the low price paid for it. The model in the photo is clearly under 5ft tall so be aware that it's shorter than you may expect but not too bad. I'm over 6ft tall and it came to just below my knees. There is a handy velcro fastening on the neck which is strong and secure. It's perfect for any kind of costume or fancy dress use.

Perfect for my Halloween Witches outfit. Quite thin but did feel of a resonable quality given the price and looked far more expensive than it was.Fell just above the floor and I'm 5'3,I wore the cape for an entire evening and found ti to fit quite comfortable. I didn't find the neck to be too tight like others and it sat on my shoulders nicely but I do have a petite frame. Fantastic item! I was silly and waited until the day before halloween to decide on my costume, but Amazon pulled through with it's Prime service and I managed to find this cape, among a few other things, for something that turned out great!It's great quality; the velcro strap at the top is durable and makes for easy wear, the cape is long enough without touching the floor, so it won't get dragged around on the ground and get dirty, and it's got a decent weight to it whilst still being light and comfortable to wear.Overall, I'm very happy with this purchase and will be thinking in advance for next year this time! Hopefully incorporating this cape into the mix!

Bought this to go with my pirate costume for a Lewes bonfire society. I wasn't sure whether a cape would work with it so I got a cheap one to try it out. On the plus side- yep, cape works with my outfit. On the downside, I probably won't even be wearing this one because it is so cheaply made. It won't wrap all the way around me (and I am a normally-sized 12), the clasp around the neck is quite tacky and unfancifully velcro, and it is really quite thin. Worried I would freeze if I wore it out in November!Great if you just want a cheap bit of fabric to complete an indoors halloween costume. Not great for me however, so I will probably be investing in a better one before bonfire season.

Did the trick to complete my Malificent look.really lightweight and decent fastening. Would recommend
