Excellent craftsmanship very heavy duty
It holds a razors age as in a straight razor edge. I skin five deer with it and did not have to re-sharpen excellent choice recommend 100%. Though be careful on holding it too close to the hilt, back blade will cut into index finger if not, careful other than that. Excellent choice.

chunky stubby thick and beautiful
I had ordered another d2 small cleaver blade because I just didn't know enough about it trust that EF wasn't just another crap Chinese brand. I already know about Artisan and CJRB so it isn't as if I don't know that China can make a quality EDC blade when coupled with US design and branding standards.(*i do not like the leadership or the one man rule but I can't hold 2 billion people responsible and they have to make a living too. I always check to see where anything I'm buying here is made and I detest deceptive advertising trying to present an item as being from somewhere it isn't. But This isn't the case with this EF knife or other brands like artisan civivi . I just didn't know anything about evenflow B4 this)Anyway, 57 years of knives for woodworking, cabinetry, whittling, food, etc I've had most. I collect so I look for good quality not too expensive carries because at my age, I have my Wusthoff, Shin, Spyderco, Old Timer,Victornox, Ken Onion, and no, I don't think BenchMarkup is so much better then other blades that it's worth the money. All blades eventually need sharpening. So I really wanted to love this little knife. I returned the other brand and just threw down. It wasn't very much and the sheep's foot /cleaver style is my go to EDC. I thought it looked chunky and actually like the kind of silly rainbow cord attached. And then knife came and chunky was an understatement. It's stubby and fat. Thicker then most of my larger 3-4" blades. The fit and finish is great but it was designed to have hard edges so keep that in mind. I just mean you can feel the edge transitions. but to me, I have large callused hands, the thing felt great to hold. the flipper is a little annoying But like any knife you carry everyday with enough practice flipping it with your index finger become second nature after a while. They were no issues out of the box centering is excellent. I noticed a few people complained about the loop for the cord carry being loose and it's true I checked that it's loose by design but the play is so minimal and unnoticeable that I'm going to assume there was a reason they didn't want it tightened down hard because nothing that really matters on the knife has any play.So I really like the knife I liked its being chunky and stubby and little and I liked how sharp the blade was but it had one problem that I didn't think I could get over until I decided to take matters into my own hands and do a little modification. inSo for my hand then choil, or curved recess just before the blade where your index finger can rest or grip-was too tight and the back blade tip would dig into my finger on a hard pass. And it's frkkn sharp so... ouch. The other issue was less important but the jimping on the back spine is so nice and thick soft but it didn't extend to the first 1/2" to inch of blade. If I was going to use this thing daily I had to do something about the choil so in the shop I took a Dremel on low speed I traced out the curve that would be ideal for my finger and set to grinding it out. Now the blades already pretty short but I only removed about 3/16" of actual blade. And then I figured since I ruined any value as a future collectible in 500 years I might as well go all the way and took a cut off blade and carefully cut about 5/8 " jimping on spine. smoothed polished buffed and that was it. It's now officially almost perfect. Out of my current rotation of 5 I'm grabbing this 75% of the time. It's definitely not a knife for an office or slim smooth slacks. the clip is substantial for this little guy and when it sits in the corner of your pocket your pants had better be pretty tough denim, duck, or heavy duty cotton because the thickness alone lets you know you've got an extra little chunk in your pants that day.I read that despite the doubters that the standard testing for hardness confirmed that the steel is as hard as other properly he treated D2. I actually read that after I bought it which was nice because had I read otherwise I might have considered returning it but for me it's just a design thing. It's unusual kind of like an old AMC Pacer or a Pontiac aztek. ugly but in a beautiful way. And I don't have the comparison photo to show how much I took out of the choil But if you look at the product pictures and the one picture I posted you can get an idea that didn't take much but I definitely had to make the ark a little bit wider and the jimping you can probably just see but I have to say my thumb sits on it like it was made that way. And if I felt like riding a letter to China I tell him they should take an extra 10 minutes and add jimping to the back of the blade becausev my six little grooves make a very big difference in how my thumb sits on the top of the blade more confidently. So as an old-timer who's been in the knife game for many years and absolutely did not need another knife and believe me nobody which means you men all know who I'm talking about will ever know I got yet another knife to add to who the hell knows how many but lots of other knives mostly folding small EDC. I'm not as crazy with kitchen knives and don't feel the need to go any further than my 30-year-old wusthoff and Japanese shin. little folders purposely designed to make collectors and hoarders alike constantly peruse for something new unique or unusual It's not a piece of crap. And I can say with absolute certainty if you like chunky little unusual cleaver blades you're going to love this knife. It's not for everybody but if you like how it looks you're probably going to like how it feels unless you have big fat fingers in which case you might need to break out the Dremel but believe me it wasn't very difficult. the curve is already there You just have to hollow it out a little more

Easily the mostly multi-functional tool I now carry and use daily.
Absolutely love the knife. I made over 50 cuts in cardboard boxes and it was still sharp. I need to mention that I put my edge on it first thing. Never really liked factory edges. Since I've cut everything from rolls of cotton to copper wire, still no issues. The handle and mechanism is still solid. This was the problem with the knife this one replaced. There was a small. Welt in the metal, but that is minimal for the price and function. The blade size is perfect for my large hands and fingers. I have a highly technical and physical job. This is being used as a tool and has become a highly revered one quickly.

Almost perfect.
I am a carpenter. I work my folding knives hard but respect its edge, by that I mean not misused but used. This knife brings the typical work part of the knife ,the tip ,closer to the grip and therefore giving more control. D2 steel is a great work knife steel. Durable but can take an edge like high carbon steel. The scales have an aggressive texture coupled with an unusable amount of space between the pocket clip and the scales , making it a two handed operation to remove it or replace it in your pocket. This knife is so close to perfect take it a little further.

Kind of a let down unfortunately.
I was really excited for this knife. I have bought several Eafengrow /CH knives in the past and for the most part really liked them. Unfortunately I didn't really care for this one.First off The BAD: it's very heavy. Milling on the liners and less thickness on the scales would have helped immensely. The scales are well done but, very thick and round. While the action on this knife is very smooth, the detent on this particular one was very weak and the knife can be gravity flipped easily. I tried cranking down the pivot but it didn't seem to help. The clip is ridiculous. It looks like a giant wishbone and it attaches to the rear on barrel standoffs and it creates a pretty noticeable hot spot if you grip the knife with some pressure. That Rainbow Lanyard...well at least it comes off easily. The GOOD: Well built. This thing is a tank and it feels extremely solid in the hand. The blade came out razor sharp and if I had to guess, is genuine D2. The action is extremely smooth on what I do believe are caged bearings. Primarily what seems to be a thumb flipper works well, and you also can snap it open with your finger with just a little difficulty. All in all I decided to return this one as it would probably just end up as another knife in a drawer for me personally. If it was a little lighter with thinner scales and a stronger detent this would definitely be a real keeper.

It’s Okay
The media could not be loaded. When I received this, I was surprised at how thick it was! It’s built unnecessarily like a tank. Very think in the pocket. It came reasonably sharp. A few seconds on the strop and it was like a razor. Seems like the frame is plastic, and the biggest annoyance is the back metal part for the lanyard that rattles as shown in the video. I used a torx to tighten everything and it still rattles. For the $20 that I paid, I can probably live with it. Not worth returning and the knife is still functional. Just a bit disappointed with the rattle.Update: taking this down to two stars. The rattling was so ridiculous I decided to take it apart. First off, the screws meant to keep it from rattling are too short, hence the rattle. One is the screws was already stripped before I even tried. The threads stripped in two other screws with minimal torque. I re-drilled the holes in the “g10” for a more beefy machine screw. Replaced those and now it’s pretty solid. The frame is metal. Thought it was plastic. Last knife I buy from them. I shouldn’t have to mod to get an acceptable blade. Two stars for decent steel.
