Easy Peasy
Contacted Assurion and was given a return label and issued a refund as soon as the item was marked shipped. The only thing that would have made this better was if I was issue a check refund instead of an Amazon credit. Sure I'll use it but I prefer having a choice in the matter.

Always Awesome!!
I just had to use my protection plan for my son's blue tooth speaker. Assurion promptly issued an Amazon gift card with no issues or concerns. I have used protection plans from Assurion for years and have NEVER had any problems or issues. I highly recommend their protection plans.

Broken Promises; Faiure to Perform; Essentially Abusive. Just thought I'd let people know.
Update 03 Nov 2022: This is a review update for asurion protection plans (that's their spelling and that's their non-capitalization--it's not a typo): I became exasperated and just put it out of my mind for about a month. Somewhere in the last 30 days, the actual product has shown at asurion but in 3 diffent places under 3 different plan names for 3 different product names although all product names are simjltaneously referring to the same Oontz Ultra 3 Bluetooth Speaker. One product reference calls it Soundworks Speakers--and---yes---that is the parent company but an asurion rep probably isn't gong to know that and a rep might reject it as erroneously and unrelated. One plan refers to the Oontz Angle 3 Ultra by its proper name but where the proper name is specified it is however connected with the incorrect protection plan name The third entry at asurion simply names itself as a 3 year accident plan but it has not been connected with any specified product. So, I don't know if I actually have coverage on a breakdown or not because the correct product specifically named Oontz Agle 3 Utra is linked with an incorrect protection plan while the correct protection plan names Soundworks Speakers which is not a proper designation for my electronics product. I'm not going to try to fix it though. It's just too much trouble. I think, however I probably do not have coverage because the reps in chat have a language barrier that I can't entirely overcome and the chat reps insist that they can't do anything because it all has to happen in what they call "the back office." So, if I have a breakdown and if I hope to get coverage, it means that a number of low probability occurrences must be engaged in sequence like: Chat rep understands my request for failure service, rep recognizes the errors of plans and products listed, rep requests action from back office, back office also recognizes the error in their database, back office decides not to reject me because of their database error, then back office sets me up with repair or replacement. So I think a successful claim is unlikely. I'll just avoid asurion through Amazon until I have an actual experience that gives me assurance (or should I say "asurion-ance" in a successfully implmented claim and repair situation.06 Oct 2022 Original Review: This is a review for asurion protection plans (that's their spelling and that's their non-capitalization--it's not a typo):Amazon advertises that the asurion plan will be automatically linked and registered to the product I purchase. Amazon advertises that I will get a confirmation email within 48 hours of the shipping date for the product. Sounds easy but...nope...did that twice. It failed both times.Amazon rips my orders into pieces so that even though I order the protection plan at the same time that I order the Oontz Angle 3 Ultra Bluetooth speaker, Amazon forces the protection plan to be processed on one seperate order and the electonics item is then on a seperate order. I'm only guessing but I think it is this forced disassociation that begins the deluge of abusive tactics that ensue from that point forward.Amazon advertises that 48 hours after shipping, I will get an email confirmation for my protection plan coverage. I get an email but it does not link my product purchase with the protection plan purchase. In other words, asurion has no record that my Oontz Angle 3 Bluetooth Speaker has been protected by an asurion plan. The only thing asurion can tell me is that I purchased a 3 year accident protection plan but they do not know what was to be protected by that plan. However, that means that if I have a failure in the future, asurion will tell me that they have no record of the plan coverage for my Oontz Angle 3 Ultra Bluetooth Speaker. In the past, this "automatic" registration has worked several times with Walmart purchases I made. I can log in to asurion to see the Walmart purchases including make, model, serial, purchase date, and purchase price for items I've protected with asurion through Walmart. But something is terribly wrong with the arrangement between Amazon and asurion. I followed up with asurion and asurion promised several times if I waited 48 more hours after my chat contact with asurion everything would be fixed and the email would come. It did not.I waited 48 hours...twice...and I waited two weeks...nothing was done....nothing that asurion promised was actually accomplished. So, Amazon customer reps stated all I can do is return it. So, I returned the asurion plan and I returned the Oontz Angle 3 Ultra Bluetooth Speaker for a refund. I figured that gave me a clean slate even though it was a hassle to ship the thing back to Amazon I figured returning them both would let us all start over so we could try and see if it would work as Amazon advertised. So, I returned the asurion plan and I returned the Oontz Angle 3 Ultra Bluetooth Speaker. Now I was ready to try again.I ordered them both again. BUT--AGAIN--same things happened....namely...though I ordered the Oontz Angle 3 Ultra Bluetooth Speaker and I ordered the asurion plan on the same order at the very same time...Amazon again ripped the two apart and processed them as two seperate orders. So, once again, they were disassociated and the two were never linked together and both Amazon and asurion both made promises ... AGAIN ... that they would be linked together...but...they never did and every promise to make that happen was a broken promise. So, AGAIN...the automatic registration of the protection plan did not happen....AGAIN...no email came 48 hours after the ship date...AND AGAIN...I contacted asurion...twice in 2 weeks....each time...asurion promised the email would come if I just waited another 48 hours after "chatting" with them.It did not come. Asurion even made me upload a purchase receipt...and I did that....but after waiting well over 48 hours (two weeks infact)...they could not even find the receipt I uploaded. So, they didn't have the "automatic" record of my purchase that was supposed to have happened within Amazon order systems ... and..they did not have my manually uploaded receipt. On top of that...the scary part....every time I "chat" with asurion, they openly and proudly tell me they DO NOT HAVE ACCESS to any of the electronicc records involved in the protection plan and they DO NOT HAVE ANY ACCESS to the electronic records of the purchases. The reps engaged in the "chat" stipulate that all is done by something they call the "BACK OFFICE TEAM" and obviously once they supposedly tell the "back office team" to do something...that request goes out the window and nothing gets done.But...everytime I "chat" with asurion they "assurion me" <sic> that if I wait 48 more hours after "chatting" the email I have been promised will come. But it never comes. I think the 48 hour wait time is just a ploy to get me to go away. So, I have no choice but to do that which asurion has ordered me to do....after trying this multiple times over several weeks and after experiencing nothing but broken promises...I will now go away and return the asurion plan and return the Oontz Angle 3 Ultra Bluetooth Speaker--AGAIN.In the past, my purchases at Walmart were automatically registered with asurion so I know that it can work because it worked twice in the last few years with Walmart and asurion. But, something is wrong with the current arrangement between Amazon and asurion. Asurion is mistreating Amazon customers...well...me anyway. Maybe they are mad that Jeff is gone? I dunno. But, I know that I can never use that Oontz Angle 3 Ultra Bluetooth Speaker wthout recollecting the horriblly abusive treatment I received by asurion ... so I am forced to expel both from my life in an attempt to relieve my fears and anxieties over this incident. So, I'll return the Oontz Angle 3 Ultra Bluetooth Speaker (again) and I'll return the asurion protection plan (again) and I'll just avoid asurion in the future.Maybe this is an isolated case and maybe it only happened to me. But, I have to guess that if they can't find my purchase that means that if I have a failure of the product and if I try to make a claim for repair or replacement....I'll probably get the same treatment whereby the reps will tell me to wait 48 hours and wait 48 hours and wait 48 hours until they wear me down and embarrass me with abusive treatment until I go away. So, I am going to go away now and avoid all of that.If anyone wants to see my latest "chat" with asurion, I have saved a transcript. Of course they don't honorably offer to send a transcript to you. Many companies offer to send a chat transcript to your email but asurion does not. I had to copy and paste the transcript into a *.txt file but I have that text file it if anyone at Amazon wants to see it.Interesting to note that the "chat" with asurion begins to disintegrate while you engage in the chat so it is imperative that you copy and paste segments of the text as you go along. I found that text disappearance to be happening but not until after I noticed some of the chat transmissions disappearing. Nice thing is, though, the ones I lost are only the ones where the asurion reps are asking me over and over for the same name, address, email, and such that the automated bot had already asked. In other words, the automated bot will ask for lots of data before engaging a live rep...and...then the live rep will ask for the very same data again. ( I called his hand on this tactic and asked why he could not read that which I already typed...then...all of a sudden....he stopped abusing me for that particular data...although...he did find other things to repeatedly abuse me with.)Good luck to you all. I may be banned from Amazon for this review but, I promise, it is all absolute truth. I post this hoping to help some people avoid the loss of coverage in the future when asurion tells you: "Gee...I'm sorry you are not covered but you did not make sure your product protection was registered...so...we have record that you purchased a plan but we have no record of what item you covered with that plan. So, (assurion may say) instead of fixing your $29.95 product, since we don't know what you covered with the protection plan, we will, instead, refund your $2.99 protection plan purchase price and be done with you now that we have had your $2.99 and thousands of other $2.99's for a couple of years."That would be a disappointment I'd like to spare you.Or, maybe this has only happened to me and won't happen to anyone else. That is possible.
