Westcott 14888 iPoint Evolution Electric Pencil Sharpener, Black and Silver

This is the best pencil sharpener I have ever bought. I have spent way more money on top name brand electric sharpeners but they have never had the efficiency and reliability that this ipoint sharpener has. I bought this sharpener as an extra, back up sharpener because I love the one I have right now. I sharpened nearly 150 colored pencils in one sitting. I was expecting to only get thru maybe a third of them before the sharpener got too hot and had to take a break....but it sharpened all of them without having to cool down. I was actually surprised! It sharpens beautifully. There were a few pencils that had a little difficulty getting sharpened, but I think it was something in the pencils themselves and not actually the sharpener because of the sheer number that it sharpened successfully. I would highly recommend this affordable and compact sharpener. I love it!

I had the previous model of this sharpener for 8 years before it broke and even then the sharpener was still fine but the cord for torn up in a move.I love that it has a perfect point sensor, no more over sharpened pencils!The sharpener was shipped in a padded envelope which led to a damaged box. However the sharpener itself seems to be working fine.

BUYER BEWARE. I ordered this sharpener as a result of the item the description clearly stating power source as ELECTRIC. The one delivered was not. Ordered a replacement and the replacement was not electric either. Caveat emptor.

I bought this for my classroom. It has held up well to daily use by many students. It sharpens quickly and stops when the pencil is sharp. It gives a good, even sharpening every time. A great sharpener for the price!

This is by far my favorite pencil sharpener. I am a a teacher and my pencil sharpeners are used and abused on a daily basis. In my experience, the $50, $75, and more expensive sharpeners do not hold a candle to this one. Although it only lasts about a year with my students, I find it is well worth the price.

This sharpener has a feature that stops when the pencil is sharpened, which is great. No more over sharpening. The only complaint I have is probably the fault of the colored pencils that sometimes lose their ‘lead’. Most are just fine, but in a pack of 36 there are a few that seem to be poorly hugged by the outer wood and often have a small section fall out, requiring another run through the sharpener. That said, this sharpener does a quick job of sharpening several pencils in a hurry. It hold a good amount of pencil shavings and is easy to empty. I unplug the base and carry it to the trash can to dump. Just, umm, be mindful to not drop the small lid into the trash in the process...oops!

I’m using this sharpener for my Prismacor pencils. Perfect point, minimal shaving, doesn’t shatter the “lead” like my manual sharpener. I’ve only had it for a few days, so I don’t know how long it will last.

I had another iPoint sharpener that was electric that I liked alot that eventually died. Got this because of the brand, and it seems like it bogs down a little sometimes. I am going to keep it because I already dumped the packaging, and I dont use it a whole lot anyway.

Leider ist aus der Beschreibung nicht ersichtlich, dass es sich um ein Gerät mit einem Stecker für den amerikanischen Markt handelt, da Adapter mit Stromumwandler nicht ganz billig sind, lohnt es sich darauf zu achten

Broke after one use

good one. Does the job perfectly.Sometimes; odd sized pencils doesn't get good sharpening.But, that's not the problem of sharpener though.it's the fancy pencils that doesn't follow standard gauge.only drawback is american plug instead of indian.But, works on 220V without any converter needed.

This product is so very convenient to use and with very good build quality if you have use of it then its a must have product.
