Lovely, soft consistency
Great consistency. Very easy to work with. It didn’t stick to the push molds i used to make flowers and stayed soft & tasty as part of the cake decoration.

Perfect for cakes and florals ❤️
Perfect in great condition easy to use, I don’t understand why they’re saying they got a bad bucket when in reality if it’s left on sun exposure it will get flakey it’s only those people that don’t know nothing about fondant are the bad reviews I got mine and it’s perfect 👌

It tastes great!!
I am not a huge fan on fondant but my nephew was getting married and picked out one tier of the cake that had to be fondant, not buttercream. I purchase this Satin Fine brand on referral from a friend who uses it. I have not used fondant in years and I have to say, it has come a long way! This was very vibrant in color and rolled out with ease. I "painted" on it and it held the color well. The wedding was outside and my greatest fear was melting or drying out and cracking. This cake was the base of three tiers, each with a different theme. It sat in the sun (80 degrees, low humidity) for about two hours and suffered no ill effects. It did not melt or crack. I did notice a little drying around the edge but that was all. I'm sure if the cake were inside, it would have stood proud for hours. Most surprising was the taste. When I trained in cake decorating, we used Wilton fondant which was some of the most vile stuff I have ever tasted. This however, was fabulous. It has a vanilla flavor and paired perfectly with the icing. Nobody peeled it off as I have seen at other events with cakes I didn't do. lolThis 5# pail did this 12" double layer cake with plenty to spare. There was probably enough left to do another 12" cake. If you are looking for a fondant that is easy to work with and tastes great, you have found it.

Delicious fondant
Satin Ice is the best fondant around. I've been using Satin Ice for 5 years now on all of my cakes my cakes. It is nice and smooth, soft and pliable. It doesn't require much kneading. The amount of kneading time is considerably less. It's a little more sticky than other types of fondant but you can keep it from sticking to your hands by rubbing some crisco on your hands before working with the fondant. It rolls out easily on the mat, but be warned you really need to sprinkle on the powdered sugar before you try to roll it onto your roller to put it on the cake. I live in a very humid environment and this fondant works well. I love that I can order my most common colors and not have to worry about then dies affecting the texture of my fondant. I have been purchasing my fondant at a local bakery store, but when they did not have the product in stock I checked and found it on Amazon. To my surprise it was much cheaper than what I have been paying, so I will be ordering from now own. It's exactly what I would have picked up at the store

Great overall fondant for Cake and cookie decorating
Best fondant on the market in my opinion. I’ve tried renshaw, Wilton and Duff (omg no!) fondex and used to make my own mmf as well. After 13 years of using fondant, 10 years of using satin Ice, 6 of them professionally, I have a few opinions ;). Yes it does form elephant skin and tear if you are not careful. Take you’re time and kneed completely first. It is not nearly as hard as other fondants (duff and foundex required microwaving) but being softer it gets gummy easier. Careful with added colors it will change the consitency. The taste however is wonderful. Way way better than other brands. I have customers who refuse fondant because of precious encounters until they try satin ice. My kids eat it plain. Overall nice texture, great flavor. Harder to model because Of the softer consistency but better for Cake coverings.

Do not take out more than you are immediately using or it will dry up and not be fixable
I’ve never used fondant but this one was fun and easy to use. You have to aggressively roll it out and mold it for certain looks. It’s a bit hard to roll out. Any fondant that isn’t not going to be immediately used should ABSOLUTELY stay wrapped up in the bag. When it’s out it does dry and set rather quickly. And that makes it wrinkly and not very pretty to use. Luckily I bought two containers. Made this mistake with the first container taking it all out. So when I opened the second one I was very careful. I’ve never used until now and can definitely seeing using it and making it look nicer with more time and experience

Horrible quality for what use to be the best
I don’t even want to leave a review after what happened with this fondant over the weekend. It was by far, the worst experience. I have ben making fondant birthday cakes for 15 years and have never had this happen. I was making a cake for 50+ baby shower. The fondant out of the container seemed off, it wasn’t the usual quality and no matter how much grease, corn starch or glycerin I used, it would tear and fall apart. After two hours, I got it on the cake horribly. It was falling off the sides. I was so upset I put it away to take a break. When I pulled it back out to see how I could salvage the cake, it completely came apart. The pic shows the aftermath. It was so hard it crumbled apart all over my counter and floor. I had to run to Walmart for their fondant and my son drive me to the shower while I fixed the cake. Thank god for Walmart to save the day but this was an absolute waste of money and I was a huge satin fan.
