Perfect for a Star Wars cake!
Amazing!! One of the best purchases I've made! This is very large and works incredibly well - no details were lost when removing from the mold. I used this for chocolate (took 32 ounces of chocolate melts to fill!) and it came our stunning. Add silver mist and you have a perfect edible Falcon! Be advised it's large so if you're using it as a cake topper and want other things on the top, you're going to need a large cake. This monopolized almost all of the space on my 9" round. Looked great though and my boyfriend loved his birthday cake!

Perfect Mold for Chocolate Lovers and Star Wars Fans!
I recently tried out my Millennium Falcon silicone mold with chocolate, and the results were fantastic! I used one bag of white chocolate for the first layer, letting it set in the freezer for about 15 minutes. Then, I added a bag of dark chocolate on top, so the top layer would be white. It only took another 15–20 minutes in the freezer to fully set, which was super convenient. After it hardened, I painted the top with edible sparkling color and added some gray to make it look even more realistic. Even though I didn’t fill the entire mold (only about halfway), the chocolate Millennium Falcon came out perfectly, capturing all the fine details. This mold is great for making unique cake toppers or standalone treats. The chocolate popped out easily, with no hassle. Highly recommend for any Star Wars-themed treats!

This is a beast of a mold and I love it. I initially planned to bake a cake in it and then use it to make a chocolate shell to put over the cake (for details), but I messed up by underestimating the amount of chocolate this thing would need. Then I messed up by breaking the fragile shell while taking it out of the mold. I ended up just making a solid chocolate Falcon to put on my cake, and then used gel icing and a small art brush to distress it, and then went over it lightly with some spray on silver and gold coloring. The chocolate came out of this mold very easily with the exception of the area around the satellite dish. It's a bit deeper than the rest of the ship so it was a bit more stubborn—but not impossible—to work with. Also, I needed two 12oz bags of white chocolate morsels to fill this thing. Don't make the mistake I did and not buy enough chocolate. lol

Happy Hubby.
I made a birthday cake for my husband who loves Star Wars. He loved the cake. He wants me to bake him one every year from now on. I am extremely happy with this mold. Thank you.

The detail is amazing! I used white chocolate
The detail is amazing! I used white chocolate, put bamboo skewers in back, kind of angled while wet, then put on top of cake. I added more skewers after into cake behind falcon cause worried it could fall backwards from the weight. I had sprayed it with edible silver spray, added fondant details & dollar tree mini lights to end (used silver flat thumb tacks to attach, and blue plastic film from hobby lobby to cover lights to appear blue since lights were white). Size goes perfect on top of 8" 3 layer cake. This is a great mold for making a solid chocolate millennium falcon!

Not a cake pan
Since the description clearly says for cakes, I thought it would be perfect for my sons party to make a cookie cake. The package clearly states do not expose to heat. Yes it is detailed and cool. Do not advertise it as a cake mold if it has to stay away from heat though.

Hard to get chocolate out without breaking
I tried to make a chocolate mold to put on top of a cake (also baked in the same mold) but it's so intricate and detailed, that it was very hard to get the chocolate out without breaking it. Maybe it would work for one big hunk of chocolate (but that would be one biiiiiig hunk of chocolate!). It's rather small for a cake mold, but rather large for a chocolate or ice mold. Seems like it should be either much bigger or much smaller. Nevertheless, I did end up with a pretty cool cake, although it was a lot of work. I tried three times to get a chocolate shell... and then it took me a while to try and "glue" the broken chocolate parts onto the cake (using melted chocolate). This is what it looked like when I was finished...

This is a very large mold. Not for ice.
I ordered this while attempting to find ice trays. This is way too big for ice tray. Wondering if the company can add measurements or dimensions to the description so people understand how large this is going to be. There was no issue with the product itself other than expectations. Unfortunately, this was a waste time, as it was for a gift and is unusable, but also a waste of money.
