Extend your LENOVO PC's service life
My LENOVO-2011 64-bit Windows 7 computer arrived equipped with (in-CPU) integrated graphics and 2 GBytes RAM; immediately I added an additional 2 GBytes RAM. At the time 4 GBytes RAM seemed like a lot, but even with defragmentation the hard disk started thrashing excessively (virtual memory page swaps) after several years of Windows Updates. Kingston's Memory Finder webpage said the LENOVO motherboard could accommodate 8 GBytes total RAM, and recommended this competitively priced DIMM. A low-end 1 GByte RAM graphics card upgrade (free motherboard RAM and remove video refresh traffic from the motherboard's data bus) plus a pair of these DIMMs minimized the hard disk thrashing.DIMMs are static sensitive. I wore nonstatic shoes, I kept my knees pressed against the desk well's metal sides, and I wore an antistatic wrist strap when I installed these DIMMs. After installation I tested the DIMMs with a bootable CD-ROM MemTest86 tester (downloadable free from the MemTest86 website). Remarkably IMO MemTest86 viewed the graphics card's RAM as a ninth RAM GByte and tested it all.Microsoft has ended (non-security patch) free support for Windows 7. Currently I have not decided to upgrade my LENOVO-2011's OS to Windows 8.1, but I know that the upgraded hardware is sufficient.

Quick installation and good performance. This was the fifth Kingston ram I bought to up grade my desktops and laptops. No problem at all.
