Worked Perfect and Great Price!
I bought this after buying a remanufactured unit that did not work. Apparently getting a remanufactured MAF that works is a coin toss. So I learned my lesson that a new one is best. What was even better was the price! I bought the reman from a small business because I actually like to support the little guys. Unfortunately it didn't work and that was not the fault of the business I bought it from. They didn't sell new units like this. The price for this new MAF was $40 less than the price for the remanufactured unit. Unfortunately, the evil overlords won. HA!

Works perfectly
Works great this is the new OEM style all the old aluminum ones floating around are cheap knockoffs or remanufactured if your vehicle is burning through mas airflow sensors check your filter but also make sure your exhaust isn't backfiring into your intake this is perfect even with a cold air intake

This one only lasted about 20,000 miles before acting up.
* edit: after 3 years it started acting up. I am going to purchase the AC Delco model. For being a "brand name" and amount of money paid it should have lasted longer. Since I haveinstalled this MAF sensor, I have put approximately 20,000 miles on it and it has failed. After trying a few other brands and being disappointed... I decided to try this model based on reviews here and checking with rockauto (just google search it). I reset the BCM after installing this MAF. I had to use the included 4 pin to 3 pin wire harness adapter for my vehicle type (which I was expecting before purchase) . Installation was pain free and was a comfortable fit without having to modify or use any additional resources. After driving around approximately 80 miles the BCM had tuned itself to accommodate the new MAF sensor (You can verify this with a good scan tool or even a $30 bluetooth OBDII Reader). Results are perfect, the car is purring as it should with a small increase in average MPG, 3 in heavy city driving and about 5 on the freeway cruising at 65 - 70 MPH. This was the last part I needed to give my vehicle a finished tune up. I had already replaced the Air Filter with a WIX, Full Synthetic Castrol Oil Change, K&N Premium Oil Filter, a couple AC Delco Relays, AC Delco AC Control Head Unit, NGK Iridium Spark Plugs, Bosch Premium Spark Plug Wires, 2 x Bosch Premium Heated Oxygen Sensors, AC Delco Temperature Sensor for the MAF, and finally this Delphi Mass Air Flow Sensor.- 98 Chevy Malibu LS 3.1 Stock* edit: 400 miles later and this is still rocking. There is even a slight increase in horsepower as the acceleration is moderately better.and if you are looking for a good but inexpensive bluetooth OBD II reader I highly recommend the "BAFX Products 34t5 Bluetooth OBDII Scan Tool for Android Devices" also available on amazon.

Great upgrade for older style aluminum type.
Fit is a little harder to get in but worth it.

Sometimes things appear expensive but there not.
I bought this new late bloomer in Jan -02-2000 and it was a new 1999. The Blazer has 120000 on it. after break-in I lowered the thermostat from the CARB emission standards of 200 plus degree thermostat to a 170 degree. I always ran synthetic motor oils and synthetic transmission fluids later. My oil pressure is the same as it was at 20000 miles 80 psi cold 40 psi warm at 600 rpm. At around 112000 miles my truck was having starting problems after it ran for more than a half and hour or more. I had to replace the spider fuel injector assembly because my gas mileage had dropped off to 8 miles to gallon around town stop and go. After the repair the mileage was better but no place near norm. I shotgunned the MAF repair andI had much better factory take off speeds. I could light both tires up at once. I was up to 12 to 14 stop and go. I live in Los Angeles. Stop and go means stop and go. Since I put The MAF in I had to make a 70 miles up and 70 miles back non stop relatively. I was amazed, I got better than 26 miles per gallon. that is better than I got brand new. I'm going to buy a new car in the future and keep this one around only because I spent the money on the new MAF

MAF: always buy OEM.
This is the second time this year I opted to cheap out on a new MAF by not buying OEM. Twice now I've had to return the cheap MAF and buy OEM to fix my problem. This unit cost me only an extra six bucks because it was a return and the box was slightly damaged. I easily discovered why the previous owner returned it; one of the three pins was not fully seated in the connector so the unit didn't work. I seated the pin, installed the MAF and Tadaa! Problem instantly solved. Isuzu Trooper runs great again. This unit has been upgraded by Delphi. A different design, but works flawlessly.

Functional part
Functional, does what it's supposed to do but the fit and finish is AWFUL, looks cheap, makes the repair look like a hack job.

Cheap-looking, but it is the right OEM device
It is an OEM part, so it generally Just Works. There are no clamps or gaskets included, so if the ones on your vehicle aren't in good shape you might have to find those elsewhere. It is disturbing to see a fancy cast aluminum part replaced with something that looks and feels like it was hacked out of a piece of sewer pipe, and the required adaptor cable (included) seems messy, but everything looks to be high quality, despite the look. There is no cap protecting the mesh or the wires, so ensure yours has not been damaged in shipping. On first start, my truck sent out a cloud of white smoke, but the computer quickly got the hang of things and it's been idling smoothly ever since.
