The Game of Life

Much better version of this game than newer versions. Glad you can still find it.

Grandkids never saw a real board game before this! They think it is a lot of fun, and everyone can play at one time! Such a delight to be able to have this in my collection.

Love this version of LIFE. Like others said, this is the classic version that I remember playing in the early 90's.It's the full size board game, unlike the new one that's smaller.Plays up to 6 players.This game is so much fun.

BUYERS BEWARE! Product is terribly, falsely advertised. The description and picture do not match the content. The version from this buyer is the newer, weaker Game of Life that is NOT based off the original make at an overpriced rate. BUYERS BEWARE!

This is a fun game - I ordered it for my grandson who is almost 12 years old and we play it every time he comes to our home. He loves the game! I just wish the game board would fold up without taking the plastic houses off the board!

This game is NOT the original game that we were looking for even though that is what the description claimed. We specifically paid more for this version because of that claim to be the original that we love so much. Very disappointed at the false advertising and the price was ridiculously high!

False advertising to say "The original game since 1960"; no, we just played our game from the '80s at the grandparents' house this summer, and this one is definitely different. Not just a "look" update; different in substance, with these LIFE cards to collect and also career cards, starter house cards, second house cards, pay raises-- not that it's not fun. It IS fun, and in spirit, it's quite similar to the old version. I would not say that the old version is better (except for the spinner, which keeps coming off in this version). It's just that the price was really high to specifically get a game advertised as the original version, but it was not. There are a number of reasons for wanting the original-- if you just want a fun game in the same spirit, then this one will do fine for you. If you are looking for the same game, for the sake of nostalgia, because the old version is simpler for younger kids, or because you just really liked that old, vintage version of the game, this is not it. You'll probably have to go to eBay and buy a "vintage" game from someone's attic.

This is as close to the original version as one might get without buying an actual vintage game. It includes a spinner (like original) and has the same directions as the original. The cards are slightly different (i.e. Different types of houses, etc). The rules are the same as what I remember. There is another version out there that is much different and not as fun as old school Life, so don't make the mistake of buying that one...buy this one instead!
