Savic Lixit Animal Care Splash Giant Bird Bath, Giant Splash (XL) (71-0151-001)

Wrigley, my Crimson Belly Conure LOVES this bath!!!! By nature Wrigley loves water and has almost no fear, making it fairly easy to coax her into using this bath. She splashes up a storm in it, and I'm happy because she can play to her heart's delight without making a huge mess.It attaches well to the outside of her cage, and she enters it through an open hinged door from inside her cage. She also uses it free standing which is how I first introduced it to her (see pics). Because she's a little parrot, the bar spacing on her cage is just a tad too close to easily slip the bracket hook between the bars, but I did manage it. The close bar spacing made it more difficult to easily remove the bath to change the water, so I quickly improvised hooks using pear link toy hangers attached to her bars. This works well, but I will make minor refinements and then post pictures with the bath hanging outside the cage. Wrig's cage bar spacing is ~5/8", and her bars are strong without a lot of flex. Any bar spacing over 5/8" will easily allow the bracket through to hook the bath to the cage. It is very secure when attached from the outside.For sure she would be happy with the bath inside her cage, even sitting on the floor of the cage, but I like it outside to save space in the cage and to prevent droppings landing on the bath. This bath and supplied hardware is of very good quality. Even the wood perch is very nice. I purchased an open box bath at a large discount and it arrived in new condition. (Likely, open box options will often be available due to parrots who won't use the bath or people who expected it to be smaller or larger.)It is a perfect solution for my little conure who loves to play in water and take baths!!! This bath is well worth the small effort to attach it to Wrigley's cage AND it is worth every penny of the price because Wrigley really loves it.

I got this for my Dove but he will not go in it, but he is one bird that has no clue how to bathe. He will flick water from his water and put his wings up and there is no water. It is large and needs a large opening but it is well made and easy to put to gather and to install.

It was very hard to find a giant bird bath to fit the needs of my Mynah until I found this!! She's about the size of a cockatiel. She now has the most room to spread her wings and splash like crazy. She LOVES it! It is HUGE. She has a 40"x30" flight cage (A&E Cage Co. Extra Large Flight Bird Cage) that's 6ft tall. I didn't like the metal brackets you put on top to hang the cage. She likes to stand on top of it and there were sharp points. I have the bath inside the cage but rested on a platform (Sundeck landing platform large). Much easier to take in/out for daily cleaning. The wood perch comes off very easy to I applied in the crease a non-toxic adhesive to keep it better in place.

It looks like a great design, but my Gray was able to break the plastic. For $50 that should not happen. To bad as I wanted to love this thing. I wound up with a stainless steel large dog bowl mounted inside the cage. It's not perfect as she can splash, but it works and it indestructible.

This bath is very well made: no sharp edges, plastic is sturdy, and it attaches easily to outside or inside of cage. I appreciate the thoughtfulness to provide a wooden step-in perch which both prevents a bird from having to step onto a narrow plastic edge and allows two ways to attach, accommodating feet of different sizes. I have one gripe. Although the photograph is accurate, it must be VERY brightly back-lit. The top half of the bath I received is barely translucent and overall it is QUITE dark inside. My 34-year-old severe macaw isn't at all timid but he wouldn't come near the entrance until I placed a bright, battery-operated light (sold for wall mounting in a closet) on top, to shine downward through the dark lid. I'm not happy with the solution as it's still dark, and he has yet to put his head inside, even though I know he wants to when he hears me splash the water with my fingers. I wish they made the bath with a clear or lighter, more translucent upper half. If they did, I'd quickly return this one for the lighter one. Otherwise, I strongly recommend it; it's definitely worth its price.

The product was delvered wth none 0f the hardware I need to assemble it.....I found a way to resolve my parts issues. I used twist ties like they put on plastic bags in the grocery store Simply solved.

It’s nice because it’s big, but the quality is garbage. One of the screws just randomly fell off the other day (it had been screwed in as tightly as all the others) and if my bird ate it, she would have died.It’s fairly flimsy too, hanging it on the cage doesn’t really work, I had to just put it on the floor and then the top gets pooped on and there are all these small holes that you have to clean.Just not user/bird-friendly and certainly not worth $40. Whoever designed this doesn’t have birds.

The media could not be loaded. Dislike- price Like- the birds (green cheek conures) love it. We attach it to the cage every two days or so sometimes more. And both birds dive into it like it's a Olympic pooland can both easily fit inside. I recommend starting with just a half inch of water until your bird figures out it's shallow enough it can stand in it. After ours figured out it was safe. We added@ 6 cups of water and @ a inch and a half deep and they loved it. Just remember water will still splash out the front so take out your food dishes. We also got a tropical looking shower curtain as a backdrop and it works out great.

No pude adaptarlo a la jaula de mis Roselas, no se acomodaron y no se acercaban porque les queda en desnivel. Está muy bonita y muy grande pero creo que es para aves más grandes, tipo guacamayas o algo así.

Unser Edelpapagei geht gerne rein zum spielen , nur leider mag er dort kein Wasser . Aber das ist ein Problem von unserem Papagei und nicht vom Badehaus. Es ist schon robust , leicht beidseitig anzuhängen und ideal für größere Vogel bis ca 40 cm aber dann wird es eng. Es ist auch leicht zu montieren 3 Schrauben jeweils rechts und links und oben die Schiene auch je 2 und ist wirklich leicht. Keine Ahnung welches Problem einige hier haben , einfache Montage . 6 jährige Enkelin hat es alleine gemacht , ich habe die Schrauben lediglich nachgezogen. Schönes Teil und schöne Farbe
