Perfect companion with Bhatkhande's Hindustani Sangeet Paddhati
Pros:Good fontThick and pretty much exhaustive bookAlso contains transliteration of devnagri lipi and solfeggio system and solomizationGood structurePaper quality is goodAlankars are good to build muscle memory for singingNo complaints however I hope that the book can be made available in sipral binding too as it will get easier to handle and open to full 180 degrees and fold. The book is a little tight bound (as can be seen in the uploaded pics by me) so does not open fully but manageable, so no complaints.I am fan of structured learning with exhaustive resources which progressively increases in difficulty . You can mix it up with different vowels sound like practicing with aakar, a, e, i, o, u, hawww sound, four parts of om etc. Also you can use the 10 Thaat system of Pt. Vishnu Narayan Bhatkhande (most used heptatonic parent scales in Hindustani Classical Music) or the extended 32 thaats. You can also practice it with the Carnatic music's 72 Melakarta Ragas system. All these contain seven swaras in ascending and descending, so practicing will be easy with this book. Also vary the rhythm. Add murki, meends and other harkatein (other types of Alankar ornamentations i.e. melodic decorations). Also do them in all the 12 keys.I hope this book becomes the Alankaar geeta equivalent of Bhatkhande's hindustani sangeet paddhati kranik pustak malika parts 1 to 6 and becomes mandatory as one of the great textbooks for music learning.Order it now and have no excuse for not practicing!Suggestion: Please include a list of harkatein (the other types of Alankars) as well so we can practice with that as well.

Great Book 📕but little confusion 😵
Great 📕Book and thanks a lot to the author but I humbly request you to guide to practice these alankaras. I do regular practice around 20 alankaras for 40 minutes early in the morning and at noon and evening and night and I regularly do practice of same 20 alankaras for more than one year but I'm confused after buying this book and having lots of alankaras. Please guide me which alankaras should I practice on regular basis..... 😢😢😢😭🙏

Alankars The Riyaz Manual - Lifetime asset
What can I say about this book? All the big shots of Hindustani and Carnatic Classical music have already given their valuable feedback for this book and I am no one to comment anything on this book.I am just a beginner who is learning Hindustani Classical music from my mother, who is a trained Classical singer and Ranjani Ma'am gave a beautiful gift to beginners, like me, who are seriously interested in learning Classical music. This book is a lifetime asset and very valuable, at least for me. I consider Ranjani Ma'am as my guruji. I have 2 guruji's now, my mother and Ranjani Ma'am.Heartiest Congratulations for the successful release of the book.A very big Thank you Ranjani Ma'am for giving us this valuable gift.Thumbs up and 5 stars.God bless you always with success and good health.Ma'am, I am waiting for the second part of the Alankars book.Take care, stay home and stay safe..

Missing Important information to practice these properly
I like that there are lots of alankars so you don't have to think to make them however, there is no finger pattern given so an newbie wouldn't know what fingers to use to practice this. The fingers could be given at least in one scale. Secondly, there must be a taal given to make us understand what taal this particular alankar will give better results. Even though these alankars can be practiced in any taal given the gaps however, certain taals fit certain alankars well such as SRGMPDNS fits beautifully in keharwa taal. Otherwise this book is good but expensive due to lack of proper information. Hopefully, next edition can include these tips. Thank you.

Excellent practice material
The media could not be loaded. An outstanding compilation of Paltas , difficult to get anywhere else in one place , I was so happy to see this book that I cannot express. One desirable thing is that all paltas are in one thaat only , if she could add few pages in more thaats taking examples from each thaat , it would exceed any expectations,Though the speed at which they have to be practiced depend upon individuals, but a small note on guidance would have been very helpfulBUT ECXCELLET BOOK FOR ALL TO PRACTICE, I would recommend for all musicians to buy 🙏
