From A German Shepherd Lover!
A must have for medium to large breed dog owners. Wish I had purchased this years ago!More times than I like to think about I have had to move one of my large dogs in a hurry tothe emergency hospital. This is a perfect, practical solution for unexpected emergencies andwell worth the relatively low cost compared to other transportation devices. Although it willwork best with two or more people, in a worst case scenario, it could be used to drag the dogas best you can to your vehicle. A much better solution than grabbing a sheet or blanket aswe have done in the past. The handles make maneuvering much easier and the product seemswell made and durable. I suggest you practice a few times if your dog will comply with lying onit, just so you know how it works if you ever need it. I hope not, but better safe than sorry.I would also suggest keeping out in plain sight where everyone knows where it is and how to useit. Our loyal family members usually give us little or no warning before something goes wrong.I keep this one in my house, but plan on purchasing a second one to keep in my vehicle as well,as my dog rides with me all the time. It folds up nicely and takes up little space.Bottom line: Yes, I would recommend this product to anyone who loves their dog like family. I do.

Seems like good quality
The gurney looks great. We bought it for a mobile veterinary business. We haven't had a chance to use it yet in the field but we tried it at home with one of our dogs and it performed perfectly.

Great product for heavy dogs
We got this to use for spay/neuter clinics. We bought this one specifically as it had a high weight rating. We have used it for a couple of weeks at this point, and it has been a life saver with lifting dogs up to 160lbs. Like the middle strap, but realistically I dont think it would keep a dog that wasnt sedated in place if it wanted to move. So far this item has been great!

A must have!!!
Our Labrador was having spine surgery and I was scared about how to get him in and out of our SUV.I bought this and was a bit skeptical at first.Upon receiving, I was impressed with the quality of the product, the size and how easily it stores.Once we were able to get our puppers on it, my son and I strapped him in and we each grabbed three handles and easily lifted him into the back of the vehicle. After his surgery. He had to go to the ER. Once we got there a team of vet techs came out with a cart and used the gurney to transport him. When we were leaving and they were placing him back into the vehicle. They asked me where I had bought this, because they LOVED how easy it was to load and unload the patient. They even took a picture of it and were going to ask there boss if they could get one.I wish I had one of these years ago for our Sheppard when he had hip issues.

Nice.
I ain't giving it three stars because I received a black one. I wanted Red. Better to have it and not need it, then need it.And not have it

Everyone should keep this in their car (car kits)!
I bought this because I wanted something that's compact and can be folded down for space. We use a similarly designed one at one of the veterinary ER's I have worked at.I also teach a pet first aid and safety class as a part of my local EMS.I had read a story of someone who took their dog hiking/back packing. The dog fell off of an embankment/small ravine and was injured. The woman was able to get to her dog but due to the dog being injured, she was unprepared and could not get the dog up to safety. (Poor dog) she had to leave her dog, hike back (i think it was like 5 miles) to get help. Help did come and they made a make-shift stretcher to bring the dog up and hike back to safety where the owner was able to seek emergency treatment. But all of that valuable time... and there absolutely could have been a devistating outcome. The dog was injured and now an easy target for hunting animals like mountain lions. The dog could have been at a detriment to the weather had it not been a nice day. So many other things COULD HAVE gone wrong. The owner got very very lucky.Had she packed this and with rope she could have gotten the dog out and made a travois and sledded the dog out saving valuable time. But also - thinking outside the box... this is good for HUMANS as well! Especially children but I have attempted to wrap a roughly 6' man to travois them to safety by using the torso portion of the body. This can be paired with other cloth or tarp to help secure and evac injury victims to safety. This is definately a good first aid item to have in any kit.

Practical, well-made!
My vet's office used one of these to move my dog from the floor of the office to a gurney. My dog is a German Shepherd, clocking in at close to 110 lbs. I've long been concerned about how best to transport her in an emergency, because she's too big for me to straight-up carry, and the best I'd been able to come up with had been just using an old sheet. This transport stretcher, with its multiple padded grip handles and safety strap, is a fantastic alternative. I tested it out and my mother and I were able to carry the (squirming) dog through the house with no problems... except for the dog not really liking the ride. I keep it folded up and stored in my car trunk for emergencies. It seems well-made and sturdy enough that if necessary, I could even drag the dog on it. The attachment points of the handles are reinforced with extra material and extra stitching, and I didn't even find any loose threads.

STRONG
We needed this for our 120 pound German Shepherd when he got paralyzed in the back. This stretcher is strong, the handles are comfortable and made it easy to carry him. Because of his size (very tall and "long" dog), it was just a little too short but it still worked very well to carry him to the van for outings.
