Splendid dress dagger at a splendid price
The blade design on this stiletto is almost identical to the OSS commando knife of WWII and the thicker central spine gives greater strength than the somewhat delicate but more famous Fairbairn-Sykes. I'm fairly certain its design was highly influenced by the dress daggers of the Renaissance which had become more of a fashion appointment than a weapon of practical use even then. I'd always wanted an OSS repro to round out my collection of military cutlery but had never could justify the expense of a quality reproduction. When my youngest granddaughter got into the Renaissance Fairs and costumes I found my justification and one at the right price. It arrived the night just before her 15th birthday so I had time to examine it before I boxed it up again and gift wrapped it. It was a most impressive little shiv both in appearance and craftsmanship. It was functionally sharp when it arrived and the leather sheath adequately functional as well. It was even a bit higher quality than one would expect on an inexpensive knife. The guard and pommel were solid brass that accentuated the natural bone of the grip. It had the minor groove some have noted but barely noticeable. Since it was in the same location on all the photographs I've seen it may have been an intentional element of the design or it may have been one of the cosmetic imperfections one expects from natural materials such as bone, horn or leather. I found no looseness in the blade or or bad mating of the brass, bone and steel components. It was a beautiful combination of form and function that one would expect to pay at least two or three times its cost to obtain. My granddaughter was ecstatic when I presented it to her and that alone added immensely to its value. As a work of cutlery art or a silent companion on a late night promenade througth the seedier side of town, I recommend it without reservation.

Good craftsmanship for the price
To be honest, for the price I wasnt expecting much. But I'm quite surprised at how well it is built! The bone handle is beautiful, soft, smooth, and there is no discernable seam between the pommel, bone handle, and guard. The brass itself is constructed well. I was sort of expecting the blade to be a little loose perhaps, but it is in firm and tight, no wiggling! The blade is not very sharp as is expected being a double edge "collector's peice". I'll still sharpen it for cutting plants in my poison garden greenhouse. The tip is quite pointed. The only bad thing I can mention was the leather sheath snap button clasp is not large enough. The blade fits fine in the sheath, but I am unable to snap close the button to keep it secured as the strap is not long enough. But again, this can be overlooked and fixed easily with a different restraint like velcro.Over all, I'm quite happy with this gorgeous blade!

Splendid Sheathed Dagger for the Price
This dagger was a very pleasant surprise. it is handmade from Pakistan, so it's not entirely 100% perfection with some very minor cosmetic issues, but nonetheless it is very well made for the price. It appears to be made by craftsmen who knew what they were doing. The brass fittings on the handle are fairly heavy, so it is definitely a handle thrown knife if that's a thing for you. The blade is double-sided, and both sides are decently sharp but do need to be touched up if you want razor-sharp.The real bone handle is also a very nice touch. Be aware it is bone, so there is the problem of it possibly splintering if dropped the wrong way or abused. It will also change color some from sweat and oils on your hand, which will look nicer as it ages.It has a nicely decorated leather sheath, and the stitching seems well done. The leather is also fairly thick. It only has one snap around the handle to hold it in, but the snap is fairly stout. All in all I'm very pleased with this dagger and it's looks, and my wife was so taken with it that she bought one for herself!

Cheap build
The dagger has a decent point and sturdy handle but is crooked at an obvious angle. If your intention is ren faire costume it would be fine as nobody would notice then. Overall...you get what you pay for.

Meh
I like it but the guard is a little loose and the blade is slightly bent.

Sturdy blade
Sharp out of the box, hefty, solidly put together.Looks good, balances well, and built for serious use.The bone handle is sturdy, and the pointy brass pommel appears brutally effective. The only downer was the sheath, which looks like it was sewn together from the skins of malnourished goats, by handicapped kids.I'll fix that by making my own, probably with kydex liners for the point and edges of this blade, which is wicked sharp already. In the words of Doug Marcaida from Forged In Fire, "This blade will cut. This blade will kill."It's both a pretty costume prop, and a serious stabby weapon, whichever you're after, with very good quality for the price.

Beautiful dagger, sturdy and strong
The media could not be loaded. I was very surprised and pleased with the quality of this dagger. It is heavy on the hand, has a comfortable fit in the Bone like handle. The sheath is also of good quality, and sturdy.
