Unique and delicious citrus taste
What a unique pepper! It has a sweet, citrus taste and is quite fragrant. It is a nice compliment to many dishes. Warning- Timut pepper is known in some countries as a pain reliever. It can cause a temporary numbing sensation, that goes away in minutes. I felt the numbing effect on my lips but, my Father did not experience this sensation, and we used the pepper from the same grinder jar. It didn’t bother me and I like the way this pepper tastes. Bonus if it is indeed a pain reliever? I will buy it again.

It tastes like grapefruit
I bought this pepper on a lark after eating a chocolate flavored with the Timut pepper.The taste lingers for a long time in your mouth and is nice and spicy.It grinds well and the grinder is of good quality.

Why has Phu Quoc Pepper been discontinued?!?
Phu Quoc pepper has one of the very best flavors—it’s bold and packs a punch. McCormick’s grinders always do the job and last. Far after the product has been used. I’m amused that a pepper flavor that I picked up by accident has ended up becoming my very favorite! Please, please PLEASE bring it back!!

Timut Pepper 5 stars! Delivery time 1 star!
The flavor of this pepper is unique and wonderful! It's always freshly ground with a bit of tingle! But, when I needed to reorder on October 14th, the shipment kept being delayed! Finally delivered on December 6th 2024! 53 days later, nearly 2 months for delivery!?! This product is hard to find, not essential, so I did not cancel the order every time it kept saying a new, later, delivery date. Be aware that shipping may take longer than originally estimated! But the Timut Pepper flavor is worth the wait, IMO.

This is the real deal
No funky aftertaste. Pure smoked pepper. You cannot go wrong with this smoked pepper. It is amazing.

Moderate level of smokieness, normal level of pepperieness I guess. Hopefully the added complexity of flavor will take away from my mediocre, cooking ability

More flavorful than black pepper
I am not a fan of the taste of black pepper.but, it enhances the flavor of other seasonings & spices. That being noted, this smoked pepper adds to the taste without the bitterness.

Smoked black pepper
This is one of my favorite smoked black peppers. It has such a deep smoke flavor and I use it along with smoked salt in all my savory dishes.
