I've used M-Audio profire 2626, Focusrite Saffire and Clarett range mics pres in my home studio. I use this as an add-on to my Focusrite Clarett 8prex and I love its versatility and musicality. Between the two, I have access to a pretty much any character I need from a mic pre. Huge amounts of gain, superior clarity with a really convenient and useful way to patch straight into the ADC to customize the signal path. Mics seem to come alive with this puppy. Incredible price for literally legendary mic pres. Highly recommend. Buyer should be aware that this isn't an interface, it's an add-on for an interface via light pipe (ADAT) and frankly, probably the best upgrade you can give your studio if you need (want!) eight more professional pre amps.

It will die.
This gets two stars cause it's awesome... When it works. Purchased mine and 1yr later it died. That's outside of warranty, so I paid $400 to have it repaired by their certified tech in CA. Worked for about 10 months and then died again.Their customer service was the worst part. Emailed the second time and they ghosted me instead of helping. Now it's just a hunk of trash or parts sitting on my shelf.

Great value to quality ratio
Excellent bang for buck preamp A/D converter. I have a few Neve and Daking pres and the Audient is no slouch. Great buy for expanding an interface with limited inputs.
