Awesome and thoughtful company.
Whoa. This company/seller is awesome. I was just looking for a basic mesh-like material to cover the drainage holes in my new planters and I ended up picking this — something that’s already precut (I’m pretty lazy).Anyway, I wasn’t expecting much and I was pleasantly surprised by all the extras that were included in this order. In addition to these mesh screens, you’ll also get a silver chopstick and PH strips(?!, lol). The enclosed index card also gives you useful tips on how to take care of your plants.I have no immediate plans to add bonsais to my living space (I’m currently obsessed with basic cacti and succulents) but if I were ever interested in having a bonsai, I now know where I’ll be looking first.

Great for regular potting & cactus mix! Love bonus silver chopstick!
The media could not be loaded. Love it! Works as "intended." Now can use pots with huge drainage holes. LOVE the included bonus silver chopstick! Did not think I would need, but then discovered my previously repotted, but still looking sad, Aloe Vera had a knot-hard clump of matted dirt in the center area of the roots. Was able to break it up and dislodge it with out hurting the roots using the Voila! Silver Chopstick! Now my Aloe Vera roots can actually get water when I remember to water it. The new shoots are coming in a lovely shade of green! I thank you and my Aloe Vera plant thanks you. BTW the mesh drainage screen have very small holes but not fine enough to prevent sand sized bits of groundup perlite and dirt from washing through. (I grind up my cactus mix and perlite to use for leaves I am trying to root)

Very good screen mesh for your pot!
This mesh screen is great for covering the hole in bottome of the pot or planter. It is made of plastic and you can cut them with the scissor to fit the need of smaller planter. The seller also included a chopstic which was very useful when seperating roots from dirt. Two strips of water tester is also included.

in good condition and on time
It's just plastic screens, so I wasn't going to review this product, but the seller threw in a free stainless chopstick and sample ph test strips, so I thought it worth commenting. I received the product, and the freebies, in good condition and on time. At first, I thought the stainless chopstick was a gimmick, but it has since become my go-to tool for working soil in and around the roots of my bonsai trees. It's kind of rare these days that someone would throw in extras, so I definitely recommend this seller on that basis alone.

Bonsai Jack does it again
I've bought a few products from Bonsai Jack now, and I've yet to be disappointed. These screens are much easier to use than their metal/mesh counterparts, and seem a lot more durable and long-lasting. You get a lot of them for the money, and you could probably cut them all in half and double the number. I would highly recommend their potting soil mixes as well!

No more metal chopstick or testing strip
Other buyers got a ph testing strip and metal chopstick. That is the only reason I went with this brand over the cheaper alternative. Please know when you order these now you ONLY get the mesh squares. They are very nice and sturdy, I just would have chosen the cheaper option if I would have known. Obviously it's not a huge deal, I was just a little disappointed and wanted to give others a heads up in case they were expecting the same thing.

No more drainage layers when potting plants- use this!
BEST FRIEND! You may have heard that the once so important "drainage layer" is now being considered not only unnecessary, but actually very very bad for your potted plants. I won't go into it too much, you can google it, but its basically just physics that keeps the water in the soil regardless the drainage layer- so by adding the layer, you are bringing the wettest part of the soil closer to the roots. Not Good. One of the downsides to not having that drainage layer though, is that you loose soil out of the drainage hole. BUT you don't loose it with these guys! Just throw one over the hole on the bottom of your pot or if the holes are on the sides, I press them against the holes and hold in place until covered with potting soil! Wish I had purchased them a long long time ago!
