My second Mauviel. Love it, as expected.

It's a really good quality pan! Cooks evenly and holds up heat well. Only drawback is that the lid handle can get a bit too hot.

I was going to return this after opening it but I decided to keep it and, wow, what a great saucier! I made amatriciana sauce the first night and it was fantastic. Works very well over fire and with the induction cooker.NOTE: BE CAREFUL OPENING THE BOX. I got two nasty paper cuts from sharp edges of the extra thick cardboard box Mauviel uses to pack this. That's the reason I gave it four stars. They need to get some proper, standard boxes.

It's a Mauviel; that should explain a lot.This is the pan I have been looking for! It is the perfect size for near daily use, and an even more perfect fit for my whisk and/or wooden spoon when reducing sauces. I looked high and low for the pan that these utensils would reach into the edges (between bottom and side) to completely mix the sauce without missed spots along those edges. This is it!

The mauviel appearance looks very cute.It is practical because it is a round floor.It's the most beautiful and practical of my pot, I have.I recommend it to people around me.Even if you're going to go back(before buying a pot), it's a charming pot that looks like you're going to choose this pot.
