If you use clippers to cut your own hair, you’re probably as frustrated as I am that you need three hands and to be in a house of mirrors to try to see the back of your head and neckline. Lacking an extra hand and being about 28 mirrors short, I tried this contraption. I’m still in the market for an extra hand and 28 mirrors.This is flimsy, doesn’t stay put, you can’t tell if it’s straight, and it gets caught in the clippers. So I tried to feel with my hand where it was while clipping and shaved my fingers and carved a gap in my neckline.There must be a solution to this problem, but this isn’t it.

All you need is a three part bathroom mirror and / or a partner to assist trimming the neckline with an electric cutter and razor. Carefully adjust the placement of the elastic over the ears and the guide behind the neckline. Easy to use and master the first time.

I was excited to try this out, as I cut my own hair, but after receivind and attempting to line this up (before I was even going to cut my hair)...there's just no way I'd even attempt to use this thing.Is it better than nothing? I would argue not really. I am not even confident enough to want to try this. It would only give a straight line - although, I don't think you could manage to cut a straight line, to be honest. The construction uses extremely cheap materials. And just the geometry of pulling this tight against your neck...the strap would have to be around the bottom of your chin or neck.Just being honest. I don't hate on products or give bad reviews, unless they are poor products. This is a poor product. Also, it is a NON-RETURNABLE ITEM. I believe this is because it is classified as a personal hygeine product? I'm not worried, as it was a cheap enough purchase. But don't plan on buying and returning if you don't like it.

I Bought this to go with my mangroomer haircut kit! And I see a bunch of 1 star reviews and I would not pay attention to them. Who knows it is an inexpensive item and the sellers of the ones that cost double and triple might buy it and one star it! No matter what I did I could not get a straight line in the back even with 2 mirrors ( looking in a backwards mirror made it impossible to use the clipper) I put on the device and used the mirror to confirm where I wanted the line and used my clipper and razor and had an absolutely fantastic line. Doing my own haircut with no spouse or girlfriend is challenging to say the least! The quality is good and not cheap as others have said and works with no discomfort as the reviews of the more expensive one says occurs! I even saw someone say use an index card and rubber bands. Sure you can do that and have it rip after 3 uses. And yes you can probably make one yourself similar to it. My question is why go through all that to save 8 dollars! This feels like it will last years!

You will probably need two mirrors, one in front of you and one behind you, to see that it is positioned correctly. But once it is, it makes it easy to use.
