It seems pricey, but it works just as well as similar hoists costing much more. When my wife was to come home from the hospital, and needed a hospital bed and a hoist, I googled hoists, and nearly had a heart attack when I saw prices from $4,000 to $10,000. Then I found this. It's fully electric; no cranking involved.Just be sure you buy the correct sling for this; some slings don't work well with the configuration of the hooks. I'll update this when I find a link to the sling I purchased; it wasn't on Amazon.

I thought this would be better than the manual Hoyer lift we have, but no. The arm is 3” shorter and causes you to hit the bar. (Main bar with controls etc) they really should’ve left the arm length as it was on the manual lift. Now we can no longer use this as for a tall person it just doesn’t work.I’ve had to use these lifts for almost 6 years and we were really excited about getting an power one and unfortunately it won’t work for us and they won’t take it back. I’d say if you’re over 5’9” probably don’t get this one.

The product is of terrible quality, when the product was received the electronic compartment plastic was already broken. After 3 months of regular use, a welded joint broke on the bottom base which it doesn't allow us to fold the unit at all to navigate it around. It is stuck in the fully open position. Disappointed that we had two issues within 3 months of regular use.

I got this after my husband had a stroke and cancer all over. He was 180 lbs and was hurting myself by trying to lift him. This lift saved my back. Very well made!

Great machine.

We have had this lift for 14 years and it has never had a problem. It is sturdy and very easy to use. Very dependable and we have used it at least twice a day, every day for 14 years.
