These are wonderful! The books are well made. They stay open and flat for easy writing, the paper quality is good enough for watercolor painting, they have a fun pocket to store additional items, and they even have a place to hold a pen. The only negative is that the paper is more of a cream color than a pure white, which affects watercolor tones. They are my go-to favorite journals.

The Pentalic Art Pocket Journal Sketchbook is a wonderful alternative to brands such as Moleskine and Leutchterm. The 75-pound paper is 100% recycled and retains ink and water extremely well. I have done many small watercolor sketches in mine. Ink doesn't bleed through unless you scratch at one place and eat through the paper. This sketchbook is the perfect size for travel and easily slips into small bags and pouches. It comes in many colors and three different sizes, so you can surely find your perfect match. The pocket in the back is great for keeping loose pieces of paper or stickers in, and I use mine for calligraphy references. It is not listed as being Coptic stitched, but with a quick backwards bend at the spine, the pages I'm working on keep flat. This sketchbook is definitely for people who have found Moleskine and Leutchterm a little out of their budget.I was not paid to express my opinion for this product. I'm about to finish my first pentalic traveler sketchbook and ordering my next. i think these books are pretty great - good size, durable paper that I use for both writing and drawing. I did have a few leaves fall out when I first got the book but since then it's held together. I think they just weren't sewed in correctly. i use mostly black and white media - graphite, pens (copic), and marker. all work great. I want to try watercolor, I think the paper is heavy enough to take light washes. the pocket is great too, for storing photos and keepsakes from my adventures. happy to be getting another !

These sketchbooks have gotten me through my years in architecture school and have become my only go to sketchbook. They are durable enough to survive life in studio and out in the field. The leather cover feels nice in the hand and holds up very well. I will continue to use these for as long as they’re made.

This sketchbook is a very convenient size. The paper is nice and smooth and takes graphite, colored pencil, and ink very well. I was pleasantly surprised that it also took watercolor wash in an acceptable manner for quick studies. I like the elastic band that helps keep it closed, a red ribbon book mark, and there is an inside pocket for those who would have use for it.

Gorgeous sketchbook, delivered on time, works perfectly with pens. My only problem was I was expecting it to hold up watercolors, thinking the paper was going to be thicker, but it wrinkled when I attempted to paint in it. Otherwise, its a fantastic sketchbook and i cant wait to fill it up!

Best blank notebooks I've ever owned. Affordable and extremely handy.Update:8/2019the last two notebooks I received had CA prop 65 warnings. Turns out these notebooks contain DEHP and the company was sued in 2010 for not disclosing this to CA customers. Amazon needs to update their product description to include this mandated warning. I would have never repurchased if I had known this at the point of transaction.

Bueno, por el precio me parece una buena alternativa. Antes creía que un papel liso y grueso seria excelente para hacer mis bocetos o diseños, sin embargo, esta misma características fue la que precisamente a la larga no me gusto del todo. Su papel se siente sencillo y considero que el borrado no es excelente.Por otra parte, su pasta es delgada y para nada firme, es incomodo el hecho de que no se puede abrir del todo, más si lo usas en exteriores. Pero tampoco creo que se maltrate fácilmente. Ya llevo varios meses usándolo y solo tiene algunas arrugas en los bordes. El resorte, listón separador y folder trasero son de gran ayuda.

Fue un regalo. Cuando la recibí me la quería quedar, ya que el color es muy bonito. La persona que la recibió comentó lo mismo. Ya eh usado este tipo de diarios (todos en negro), pero comprarlos en otros establecimientos resulta más caro y difícil encontrar variedad de colores. Así que adquirirla por Amazon es una buena idea para uno mismo o como obsequio.

It's one of those products I came across because I love drawing, I got a couple one for me and another for a friend she uses it for journaling and loves it and I for drawing and the pages hold the markers amazingly -though it bleeds on the other side of the page it doesn't to the next one :)

Salvo por la pasta blanda, es perfecto. Una gran cantidad de hojas de papel firme parece ser de no menos de 120 grs. bueno para dibujos de medios secos, y acaso escribir con pluma fuente, pero no más. Por su relación calidad/precio es muy bueno.
