Masterplug Extension Lead CT1513P/IPS IP54 Waterproof - 13Amp Version

I don't drive my car enough because I commute by train. So I have to charge my car battery every week or so to stop it going flat. I don't always take it out for a long drive to charge the battery. I needed an extension lead and wanted a weatherproof one in case it rains or gets dusty.There wasn't much choice on Amazon. It was either this or a 2 gang one. But this is perfect.I have my C-tek car charger plugged into this and then it goes in through my front house window with the window on latch.The plastic frame for coiling the cable round is superb.

Cannot really fault this item for the cost. A real is easier but I want it for using with my power washer so this works perfectly. Full 13amp.. 15 metres of cable and good weather proof socket so no worries if water splashes around. Ideal

So this is a decent product. I mostly use it when using my power wash. The weather proof plug housing is ok, sufficient enough when clamped closed. However it can come undone easily if it is dragged along the ground or something nudges it open, so be mindful about this. I support mine above the work area anyway to limit water ingress.

used to charge electric car overnight, all parts stayed cool during charge. Better than your average extension reel.

The waterproof end of the cable comes with a seal which does prevents some molded electric plugs (e.g. for car charger) to close it tight. Therefore I had to cut part of the rubber to make the plug fit and while closing it and despite this, the plastic lock broke. I can still use it but it is no longer waterproof!
