A must buy blade for the $$$!
I just got my knife a week ago and I am very impressed. It's not too heavy (12oz/ 18oz with sheath), feels great in the hand, is very sharp and is the exact size i wanted in a full tang blade and is well balanced. The finger choil and jimping are comfortable. The sheath is nylon with a plastic insert. Has an adjustable retention strap. I would prefer a nice leather sheath so i will be looking for a custom one and I dont like kydex. The blade rattles a little but that can be easily fixed by taking the plastic out and using a heat gun on it. There is a pocket on the front that can hold a few things like a ferro rod (Shrade SCHFS1 in pic) and other small things. It is molle compatable and has a leg tie. The spine (3/16") throws sparks from a ferro rod like its the 4th of July. I don't care much for the black finish but that can be removed with a paint stripper. There is also a lanyard hole at the pommel. I have done light chopping and this blade cuts like a hot knife through butter and is great doing feather sticks. This is my first survival knife so i can't compare the 440c steel to other carbon steels (esee-6 1095 carbon $125) but for the price of $38 its a "STEEL". You can't go wrong with this blade. There arent many reviews on youtube but please check out these from Blade Jockey https://youtu.be/aYtJqDY3pqY and https://youtu.be/7gGcq4ZCEKk. They helped me with my decision to purchase this knife. Thanks Blade Jockey!

I received the Knife on schedule undamaged. Fit and finish very good, it feels good in the hand and fairly sharp. I haven't a chance to use it yet but don't see any reason it shouldn't perform as expected.Pat

Cheap replica of Esee 6
I wanted stainless steel version of Esee 6 knife, and this one seems to be a good choice. I bought one on eBay for about $38, with the green G-10 handle. So, the quality of the knife as I have expected is below average. Mine came with the slightly curved blade. The sheath is not good either, it does not hold the knife firmly. The scales are not sculptured as TKC handles are, they are just two pieces of G-10. Does the knife worth buying - yes, to my opinion, if you are ok with the following:1. Expect cheap feel/quality, this is not anywhere close to Esee or Ontario.2. You will have to strip the coat, and possibly stonewash or polish the blade.3. You will have to re-sharpen the knife, the original sharpening is not good4. You will need new sheath, the original is not good. I was also thinking initially of replacing the handle, but this is not required, the original handle is fine. Also, this knife fits well into the Esee's original molded plastic sheath.5. You have to accept the fact that the USMC logo on the knife has nothing to do with marines. This firm has purchased license from the USMC to print USMC logo on mugs, t-shirts, umbrellas, knifes, etc. Somehow the maker believes if they copy the design from Esee and print USMC logo, the knife will sell better :), well, this may be true.Other than the above, the knife feels solid, but to my personal opinion is too expensive for the asking price, based on feel/quality it should be priced at $20 at most.

A proper field knife.
I own one of these from the original run. Flat ground 3/16". No nonsense and well executed blade from Mtech.
