theBalm Boy Down Boy Blush 56 g

I love, love, love this blush being super pale I am always looking for a nice pink blush that is not Coral/peachy (these make me look awful and I have been caught out with pinks before!!) and that lasts.This is simply fantastic a good shade that you can build up, blends super well and lasts.I am super pale (i.e some "light" foundations are too dark for me) - and this adds a good pop of colour - defiantly a more blue toned pink ideal for us pale folk.

I like this blush but not much is needed. First time I used it I looked like a clown so be careful and tap your brush!!

A little goes a long way with this blush. It gives off a stunning colour and it's so pretty. I think this blush is perfect for pale skin but could look stunning on deeper skin tones too. It was cheaper on here than advertised on the Superdrug website too, so you can't go wrong.

Really like this product. Go's on beautifully. Doesn't sit in the pores are clogged then. You can build up the product too.

I bought this for £11.80 with free P&P in November 2015 and have been trying to use it constantly since. But it just does not do it for me.Lets start with the positives: some people have reviewed it on here saying its a fake - cannot speak for others, but the product I received is 100% AUTHENTIC. Furthermore, I emailed TheBalm (using their web site contact us form) and showed them pictures of what I bought. Their representative replied saying (and I quote) "this item looks genuine". I've included many pictures with this review, so if you look at them you too will know its THE REAL TheBalm.The packaging is super cute - as you would expect from this brand. The information on the outer packaging is the same as that on the blush box itself, so I didnt need to keep the paper package. Honestly, using Down Boy puts a smile on my face just looking at it in the morning. It's so cheery - I have no problem whipping it out of my bag wherever I am, though I would imagine it might look a big gimmicky in a Fortune 500 company ladies room. Just bear it in mind :) Also, when you open up the carton packaging there are various different languages on the inside that explain what the Down Boy is and how to use it - this just shows how popular this item is across the globe.The blush was fully intact, no cracks or anything, which is always a worry when you purchase make-up items online. It was clearly brand new, never used before, despite having no stickers or anything else like that to "close it". It closes with a magnet and the mirror is an average size (which, in my humble opinion, is not big enough for a good placement application of blush). When applied with a brush (none is provided, you've got to buy a separate one) Down Boy last all day - I can still see the pinkness even after a 12 hour day (and that was tested with both product on its own and another time with full moisturiser, primer, liquid foundation & pressed powder base).It's a vary build-able blush and a little goes a long way!Now for the downsides: there was a sticker on the back of the packaging that would not come off at all. So if you are buying this for a present - you might be disappointed as it will either look scruffy (if you peel it off) or it'd be obvious where you bought it from. Look at the pictures and you'll see what I mean. But since I bought it for myself I am not bothered by this. REDUCTION IN STARS FROM FIVE TO FOUR RIGHT HERE.What I am bothered about is how the blush looks on my face. If you want that "freshly frost-bitten" look this might be good for you. I, however, like to go for a natural rosiness look and this blush shade is just too pink (yes, there really is such a thing as "too pink"). On me, it looks like I am going for a porcelain doll look and if you happen to be any age other than under 15 that is a major make up no-no! That is why, regardless of how much I try to love this product (I mean, its TheBalm, c'mon!!!) it just is not happening. The blush has been used no more than a couple of times since being purchased and I simply cannot imagine it being used more than that in next few months either. So it's now proudly collecting dust on my make up desk... and it's a bit too dear for that luxury. So sad about this turn of events, as I so much wanted to love it - especially considering how much I love Frat Boy (my absolute go to blush at the moment). REDUCTION IN STARS FROM FOUR TO THREE RIGHT HERE.To avoid such disappointment like me - just test this blusher at any TheBalm counter and then, if you truly like it, buy here, as its a good £3.00 or so cheaper XDP.S. I am normally a cool vanilla/ivory/beige skin colour with warm skin undertones for colour matching reference :)P.S. 2 I've included several pictures for you to see how the brushes came and what it looks like when open. Also, I've included one picture of the Frat Boy (the blue/green packaging) for colour comparison purposes. Enjoy XD
