Q: Is the top really tight?

I really like these socks. By tight do you mean bothersome i.e. too tight? They are good in that they stay up and do not leave marks on one's legs.

Q: Do you have socks for women that go to the bottom of knee and stay up??

these are mid calf - not bottom of knee but I think that depends on the length of one's leg.

Q: do these shrink at all? they were big when i got them.

They shrink slightly, due to the cotton content. However, if they are very much too big, you need a smaller size. Try putting one pair through the laundry and see if it fits. Rather than return them, I would donate the new socks (not used) to a homeless shelter. Socks are one of their biggest needs What I really like about these gold toe socks is that they hold up over time.
