Q: Has anyone tried hanging banking cards with these?

I haven’t but can’t see why it would be a problem. I believe you would need a magnet stronger than these to cause any damage.

Yes, they are very hard to separate. I just twist them and they eventually part. However if I have a particularly strong one I use a pair of scissors. If you use them as though you were cutting paper they will part easily.

I’ve used these in the fridge and freezer as bag clips and they work fine. There has been no damage that I’ve noticed. Everything is working ok.

There are no details on the packaging about the actual gauss strength of these magnets. However, I have found them to be very strong. It is not very easy to prise them apart. If the magnet ends are held apart from one another and gradually moved closer together, a strong magnetic pull can be felt when they are at a distance of approximately 1 1/2 cm.
