Heavenly smelling products that add a little color--ideal for growing out grey hair.
Like another reviewer here, I purchased Davines Alchemic Chocolate Conditioner (and the matching shampoo) to help make the transition as I grow out my grey hair. I have salt and pepper as my natural color, and the rest of my hair is a light auburn shade. My hair is long (below shoulder length), and wanted a product to help make the line of demarcation where it's growing out less noticeable (about three inches of roots) and to take out some of the brassiness in the ends. Basically, I wanted to even out the two distinct colors in my hair at present. After just one application, my greys are noticeably less obvious, although I don't see a huge change with the ends. I think I need to let the conditioner sit longer on my hair, make sure my hair is towel dried a little better, and make sure enough of the product winds up on the ends. I also believe that with color-depositing products, the effects increase with several applications. Instructions for use are in English, as well as in Italian, French, Spanish, and I believe Portuguese and German (the shipping label covered these a bit).My hair feels extremely soft, and it was easier to comb out than normal after using the Davines conditioner--my hair is very fine and my tap water is quite harsh. Both the shampoo and the conditioner smell heavenly, but they have a rich salon scent that is completely unisex. A day later, my hair still has a faint aroma of the products, however it doesn't compete with my perfume, a pet peeve of mine with many beauty products.I only wash my hair every three days or so, and I imagine both products will last for months for me. The conditioner comes in a tub about the size of a drugstore jar of cold cream, and the shampoo is in a bottle that's similar to the size of a large bottle of vanilla extract or a small bottle of olive oil. I did mix the shampoo with a bit of my regular shampoo to get it to lather and distribute better with my long hair, so that will help it last too.I wish I had found this product a long time ago. I think it would have allowed me to go a little longer between colorings when I was still dying my hair. Meanwhile, it seems to be a good option for making my transition to grey less harrowing.

Perfect product
I love this conditioner. I have used plenty of brunette conditioners that "aid" in the life of your color and shine. This is a really good conditioner. Lasts a long time. Conditions perfectly. I have thick hair that pulls towards auburn regardless of what color it is colored. This is a great leveler during the months I am in between color. No harsh smell either. This conditioner does actually deposit color in your hair. Careful with staining although I have never had a huge problem. You will be slightly surprised when you see the conditioner stain your hands or get on the curtain liner but it has always come off easily for me. I cannot go on enough about this product. As a hairdresser, I have used soo many different products, shampoos, conditioners... I rarely repurchase until I find something amazing. I can say I will definitely repurchase this product because it is great.

In general I really like Davines products
In general I really like Davines products. This is a thick tinted conditioner that is suppose to give a "boost" to haircolor. It works pretty good. I use once per week. Apply to slightly damp hair and leave on for 5-8 mins. I feel like it makes my hair a little more colorful and very soft. It probably extended my hair color for about 1 week longer then normal. It does not cover grey hairs although they seem a little less visable. It did seemed to discolor my hands at first but then washed my hands and it came off pretty easy. it did not stain the skin on my head or around my face but I was very careful not to get it on there. The scent is nice but strong.

Meh- Not great
Meh. I was kind of romanced by all the great reviews of this product but to be honest I didn't see much change in color, nor did I think that this product conditioned very well. It did succeed in creating a dark film in my shower, so that's something, not a something I wanted, but at least something. It also isn't amazing smelling and the whole experience was not great. Very chemically, ditry and expensive for minimal return.

Davines Chocolate Conditioner
Love this product. I purchased this product to go along with the Davine's Chocolate Shampoo, and foremost to replace a color replenishing conditioner that had been discontinued. It compliments Davine's shampoo with the same light scent of chocolate, and conditioners the hair beautifully..I love the way the conditioner leaves my hair soft and shiny; yet light to the touch. And, like the shampoo, leaves a touch of color to help extend the color treatment I use. This shampoo/conditioner is a keeper..

Love this product!!
I finally decided to stop coloring my hair and try to age gracefully:) This product was recommended to me and I love it. I use it mostly when I am going out or want to look a bit special. It doesnt cover the gray but adds highlights and a nice shine which is exactly what I wanted. Definitely also helps you make the transition from coloring to gray. One jar lasts me several months.

No color added
Nice conditioner but didn't add any color.

But the conditioner feels great, too
Be careful because this will stain your hands if you're not careful. I'm honestly not sure how long the color depositing works, but it did help turn my "blonder" ends from a previous dye job, darker. Not exactly sure how this will work in the long run. But the conditioner feels great, too.
