AWESOME!!
I want to start off by saying that I absolutely LOVE this kit! The installation was super simple and everything works flawlessly. This is a super cheap and easy alternative to purchasing an expensive pro controller from custom controller companies and I couldn’t be happier with the results. With that all being said, I wanted to list off some pro’s and con’s that I came across while installing this, as well as some other things that I wanted to note.Pro’s- Very affordable- Easy to install- Responsive buttons- Cute color/pattern options- No soldering required (excluding L3 & R3)Con’s- Not the most ergonomic- Could feel cramped if you have large handsRegarding the ergonomics of this controller, it’s not the best, but I’ve also tried worse. After a few days, I’m already used to the back button layout and the placement isn’t really an issue. With that being said, I can definitely see this being a cramped button layout for those with larger hands if you plan on utilizing all 4 buttons. Some things I wanted to note:- I actually ordered 2 of these kits. On the first kit, I noticed that 1 of my rear buttons was double inputting. After pulling the board and buttons from the 2nd kit that I had ordered, I was able to come to the conclusion that the first kit was faulty. I contacted Amazon and had it replaced, no problem, and now everything works flawlessly. If you come across any similar issues, be sure to ask for a replacement, it’s as simple as that.- I’ve seen lots of complaints about the touch sensor accidentally sending the controller into remap mode mid-game. I actually removed the the touch sensor when installing the kit and have just been using the button combination. I haven’t had any issues with it going into remap mode unintentionally (I highly recommend doing this).- As you can tell by my pictures, I went all out with my controller customizations. With all of these customizations, I did have to open up the controller multiple times. When putting it back together, I accidentally left a wire sitting between the controller shell holes and screwed through it, which broke it in half and left me with a non-functioning K button. Fortunately, I know how to solder, so it was an easy fix. But learn from my mistake and don’t do that!Anyways, I absolutely love this kit and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for an affordable and functional 4-button mod for their PS4 controller. It’s honestly pretty hard to mess up and I really wouldn’t listen to the negative reviews. To anyone curious about all of the customizations that I did… I used Xtremerates Dawn remap kit, Xtremerate’s “Clicky” triggers & bumpers, Xtremerate’s soft touch faceplate, and some off-brand buttons from Amazon and removable thumbsticks from ebay.Lastly, as I mentioned previously, I ordered 2 of these kits. I will be updating this review with pictures of my 2nd controller once I get it all put together :)Happy gaming!

Great mod, works well, inexpensive, better than a scuff in my opinon
I could write a book about this mod but there are plenty of great tutorials on YouTube and the directions that accompany this product were pretty good at explaining what came next.Usually me being a kind of dude that when he gets a new toy chucks the directions and proceededs to put whatever it is together. One warning: This is not the time to go caveman and not read the directions. Your gonna mess up bad.Having a good or fairly decent technical background with some experience in small electronics definitely helps you install this with minimal effort. From beginning to end, I personally took about an hour to install maybe a little less. But mind you I have technical experience and work for a company that makes micro devices as well. Also, I have taken PS4 controllers apart many times before because I have children that seem to want to spill there drinks on the PS4 controllers. So I usually have to take the controllers apart and clean them so the bottons don't stick or I won't get damage to the analog sticks.Anyway, I watched a video of a pretty popular youtuber with no technical experience try and install this mod. I believe it took him a few days to install but I'm sure he really took his time and made sure he got it right.Lesson here, don't rush this mod when installing it. Take your time. If you feel your getting stressed out, just walk away and come back to it when you have a clear head is the best advice I can give to someone new to modding.Lastly, after all is said and done the mod works perfectly and in my opinion I enjoy this mod much better than using a scuff controller. It also feels better on the wallet too and you get a great feeling of accomplishment since yourself installed this mod and not come preinstalled on a PS4 controller from a factory in China lol.

Overall good. Missing a button. Hard to disassemble.
I will start by saying that I am very glad that I purchased this kit. The product is well-made and looks great.I was missing a K4 button and given an extra K2. I was able to put the K2 button on where the K4 should go. It works, but K4 would have been better. Also, I do feel like the padding buttons on the right are slow or non-responsive; however, it hasn't been consistent so I will continue to use it and update my review if can confirm what is happening.Disassembling my controller was very frustrating. I am pretty savvy when it comes to disassembling electronics. I had read the instructions and watched some youtube videos so I felt very confident. The hardest part for me was prying off the back shell. The prying tool that comes in the package was not very useful. I saw some people do it by hand easily, but my controller was very difficult. It took me more than an hour cause I didn't want to break anything, but, eventually, I used the prying tool and the screwdriver to get it open. I did damage a small plastic clip that snaps the front and back shells together, but it was nothing serious.Once the controller is open, the rest is not too difficult. You are working in a small space so take your time to maneuver the wires and components into place.
