How much space does the saw take up when fully collapsed, with out the case?

Hi, the outer measure of the case is 4.7 x 4.1 x 1.2 inch (11.9 x 10.7 x 3.0 cm) and the saw is tightly packed in there. So if you just take away approximately a half inch on each side, then you will have the size that the saw itself take up when folded together. So that would be around: 4.2 x 3.6 x 0.7 inch. What advantage does this product that cost much less?

Hi Justin, thanks for reaching out with your question. I will certainly help you. There is a few things that makes a Nordic Pocket Saw better than its competitors. First of all our saw has bi-directional teeth on each link, while many competitors have teeth on every third or fourth link. More teeth is equal to faster cutting. You might hear from other brands that it is better with less teeth, since the additional links (without cutting teeth) will clean the cut while pulling back and forth. That is just BS (sorry for my language) - the only reason to have less teeth on the chain is because it is cheaper to produce. Second, our handles are made of nylon  and as far as I know we are the only brand using nylon and not the cheaper and less strong polyester. We have also designed our saws with large handles so that it is easy to use for people with larger hands, but also when having thicker winter gloves on. If you zoom in on the seams on our products you will see that there is not just a cross seam, but also three extra strong parallel seams to prevent any risk of the handles getting loose. Please, also compare the case which the saw is coming with. Our case is made of a strong and thick canvas fabric, not just a thin one-layer fabric. We have also tested our saws in laboratory here in Sweden and the saw can cope with a pull-force 20 times stronger than a human can achieve. 
So to sum up, we use webbing and fabric that is more expensive but with the highest quality. We have a chain that is more expensive to produce, but again with the highest quality. We have a production team putting more time into each product to make sure that every detail is perfect. So we have a higher price since we have a higher quality.

Great question. Here is the Nordic Pocket Saw Warranty. 
NORDIC POCKET SAW 5-YEAR LIMITED WARRANTY
This limited warranty only covers defects in materials and workmanship of the product and only for consumer, non-commercial use by the original retail purchaser.  This limited warranty is not transferable and will not cover problems or damage caused by misuse, accidents or abuse.  The purchaser must return the defective product to the original retail store within 5 years of purchase, along with proof of purchase, for a determination of the warranty claim.  If the claim is deemed valid, the manufacturer will repair or replace the product (at its option).
For proper Care instructions, see https://nordicpocketsaw.com.  Any attempt to disassemble or repair the saw, except by the manufacturer, will void this limited warranty, as will misuse or abuse of the product.
Normal wear and tear is NOT covered.
