I put this in our carport area to have a place for permits(building) after a hurricane and left it there to receive community newsletters. Works great! Easy to mount.

This is the second type of literature box I bought. I bought two of the first type, but one was broken in transit. This was upsetting because I wanted something sturdy. Therefore, I ordered this one to replace the broken one of the first type. I have been very pleased, in fact, I am going to replace the remaining "wimpy" box with this type.The box comes with instructions on how to mount it on a post, a wall and a board. The instructions say to use the included screws, but the only thing included was a single tie wrap. It is an irritation that no real mounting hardware was included (like the u-bolts and plates mentioned in the instructions), but I had tie wraps about, so no great expenditure of effort was required. I noticed one reviewer mentioned that he did get hardware with his delivery, but another stated they only got the one tie wrap. Amazon should check to see if their supplier should be providing the hardware since it is mentioned in the Amazon description.The other literature boxes come with a sticker that says "Free" or "Take One", but there is nothing like that with this box. A convenience that could be added, but not much effort to create something at home.I pounded in a chicken-wire post I got a Home Depot, put on a couple of tie wraps, and that was that. I am a little worried that someone will take the box instead of the free literature: it's very easy to snip a couple of tie wraps. Another reason I wish the u-bolts and plates were provided, but I'm hoping people are reluctant to steal from a church.

Deflecto Boxes - The quality of the box is fine. It's just that the top was broken on one of the boxes and I'm having to use duct tape to hold it together. Mounting hardware was missing on one other but I can use barbed wire to hold that one in place.Lastly, why does the manufacturer apply his decals, that have nothing to do with the contents,. placed right smack on the front of the box so the contents can't be seen? Try peeling one of those off.

Overhead this outside in use for several months. Working out great.

This little container is for the outside of my house for my HOA position so that residents can pick up forms and then drop them back off. It is working very well for that. I wish it was about 2 inches wider but I have made it work as is. So far it is waterproof and doing the job I need.

So, my husband and I are trying to sell our house by owner. I know, I know, if you're a realtor, that makes the hair on the back of your neck stand up. But I was a realtor and hated it, and learned enough about marketing to give the FSBO route a chance.These display boxes are really high quality - much sturdier than the ones my broker used to furnish. And it has mounting holes pre-drilled on the back, so you can fasten it to a sign post with the included screws or use the included zip ties to fasten it to a porch railing, as we did.I took a black permanent marker & wrote "Data Sheets - Please Take One" on the front of the box, and got some cute vinyl stickers to add a little color & get the attention of drive-by buyers. I'm not sure if it's waterproof, though; so I also bought some inexpensive ziploc bags and put a color spec sheet, photo page, and condition report in each bag.Hopefully it will work, and the FSBO Gods will send a buyer our way! =)

Unlike its intentional use, I got this for an outhouse magazine rack - wishing to keep old magazine dry out there. It's the perfect size and will work great. The first one I received was broken - the lid snapped off. But Amazon was fabulous and sent a replacement free of charge in two days. Can't fault that!

I used this to create a Lint drop to put the lint from the dryer in. It looks so good. Very easy to paint and sturdy.

We mounted two of these on our community mail boxes to share condo board minute 4 times a year. In the past we would had deliver these and were looking at ways to simplify operations. Since these are mounted outdoors and our Canadian winters p[provide some of the harshest environmental conditions I am excited to see how they look in 5 years. We did not use the mounting options that came with the box but choose to glue them on to an existing aluminum panel on the mail box. Over all I would say were very satisfied with the new system but will try to report back in a few years.

Does the job for holding documents for building site. Plastic could be a bit stronger and fastening to something is very difficult you have to be creative.
