Works wonderfully with the Helios 44-2 and my X700
I wanted to hop on the Helios 44-2 bandwagon to see what the fuss was all about. While the Helios is my only M42 currently, I found it mounts to the lens adapter and, likewise, the adapter fits smoothly but firmly onto my X-700. Of note I was able to achieve infinity focus as well - not something I might need for the Helios since it's meant to be a bokeh machine but nonetheless it's good to know the claim does indeed hold up.

Well Made
I used this adapter to connect an adapter cone with M42 threads between my old Minolta bellows and a 10X Nikon microscope objective -- turning my Canon 50d into a microscope, using a non-Canon bellows. This adapter is all metal and well machined.

Works fine, but there's a trick to installing and removing the adapter or it wont lock
Overall, it does what it says it does. I convert my adapted vintage lenses to MD then to whatever else, so I've attached it to Minolta cameras, a MD-EOSM, and an MD-Nikon Z adapter. It is important to note that if you want this to fit into your camera/mount, there's a trick. I found that you must use a lens as leverage to install/remove the mount or you will get frustrated. To install, first thread your lens to adapter, then use the leverage of holding your lens to get it to lock to your MD camera.Removal is tricky. Press the lens release on your MD Camera, rotate the lens so it disengages the MD mount, but stop when it reaches the limit. If you pull off the lens/adapter now, it will be difficult to remove the adapter from lens. Therefore, I found if you have the lens/adapter inside the MD mount but not locked, you can use the leverage of your lens, and the fact that your MD camera is holding the adapter to get your M42 lens to unscrew.

Worth to spend some extra cash
It was such good deal even I had to pay extra as I am ordering from India but still it was worth it thread is properly aligning with lens there's is no struggle while screwing lens and it concern was the packaging while it's international delivery product has to properly handled and need have to atlst bubble wrap to it or else definitely 100 chances of getting a damaged product now I am worried whether my other order will have same packaging

Works great as long as you don't need to send any signal from lens to camera.
I found one of those silly very long 500MM lens made by Opteka, Bower and others online for about $15. It also had a 2X multiplier. It came with a Minolta AF adapter.Minolta Maxxum series cameras will NOT work unless there is some way to send the aperture reading to the camera from the lens - so it would not work on any of my Minolta Maxxum AF cameras.But...I also own Minolta X-370 and Minolta X-1 cameras, so I bought this MD adapter, and boy-oh-boy, can I zoom like crazy now! Manual focus, since there is not connection from the lens to the camera save this adapter, but it works like magic and lets me put on an otherwise worthless lens!

RETURNING IMMIDIATELY
The adapter is a sleek metal thin ring that immediately got stuck on my camera. This also happened to my friend who ordered the same one and the ring was stuck on his lens. It was a nightmare to get off and I cut my finger multiple times trying to. Definitely save yourself the trouble and try to find one with ribbing or something!!

As simple as they come
A very simple mount. The rim to push in the stop-down pin on some M42 lenses is very welcome. Mounts cleanly on my SRT 201 and MD to Nex adapter for my mirrorless. Lightweight aluminum, easy to add to or remove from the body with or without a lens mounted. Focus is accurate on both bodies I used for testing.Way easier to find than the old official Minolta adapter.
