Keeps hot drinks hot & cold ones cold brilliantly
I bought 2 of these flasks over 10 years ago & apart from the seals disintegrating & the black coating wearing off they still do a brilliant job. My hubby keeps pinching them for his drinks so I thought I would treat myself to 2 new ones, hopefully these last just as long. I wash the flasks & straws in the dishwasher but the lids I do by hand because of the seal. They work perfectly & an added bonus they (unlike other flasks) fit into the drink holders in the car.

Great for smoothies!
Great product! I only gave 4/5 stars for "leak proof" because there is a hole in the top for the straw, so naturally it's possible for a liquid to leak out. With that said, I have NEVER had anything leak out the top (I'm careful to not tip it over) and nothing has ever leaded out the sides (where the lid screws to the thermos). I keep the thermos cup in the freezer (lid and straw in a drawer) and make a smoothie around 7am. The thermos sits at room temperature (in my classroom) and around 3pm I treat myself to an afterschool healthy snack. My smoothie is always still cold. AND the ingredients (things like fruit, spinach, greek yogurt, peanutbutter...) never separate into some disgusting consistency. This thermos is the best (for smoothies)!!

Straw is hard to clean
Overall the thermos is great for smoothies and other drink that you'd want to drink on the go, however without a special straw-cleaner the straw is almost impossible to clean. Even with a cleaner, the straw began to smell over time (even after a washing). I've since replaced it with a stainless steel straw and have no more smell problems.

Great Item
I liked it enough that I bought a 2nd one. It does keep drinks cold for many hours (I have not done hot items yet)

Keeps Liquid Cold, but Leaks if Tipped Slightly When Full
Not sure if I got a dud, but if this is anywhere near full and you tip it slightly, your liquid will leak out at the bottom of the "lid," a LOT. The liquid collects up through the threads and then streams down the sides of the container starting at the lid gap. The lid is totally secure, so that's not the issue. Thought it might need a gasket or something that I was missing, but apparently that's not the case. I just use this for water, so leaking isn't a huge issue for me.Also both ends of the straw look like they were cut by some crappy scissors, the ends are not flat circles at all. The bottom looks as if it could be purposeful (like in straws made for thicker liquids), but the tops just looks bad.Otherwise, it does keep my water very cold, ice sticks around for ~8 hours or so (that's 2-3 cubes+cold water).Overall, I like it, just feel like I got a dud, but don't want to return something I've used multiple times.

Nothing Works Like A Thermos
I've run the gamut with at least a half dozen different brands of Thermos knock-offs, and I can tell you from experience, nothing works like a real Thermos. Don't be seduced by other brands with pop colors and carrying cases (I'm looking at you, Swig Savvy). This thing is simple, elegant, and keeps ice clanking around in my cup for at least 14 hours, which the other brands can't even come close to. I always have this thing by my side, full of ice and water wherever I go... and when I say always, I mean ALWAYS... as in 24/7... and it has yet to show signs of wear or rust after 7 months. It is a bit fat so it could be hard to grab if you have small hands, but I don't have that problem. Once you get the hang of handling it, you won't want any other sip-through-a-straw kind of cup near you ever again.
