Douglas Laboratories Chelated Magnesium | Supports Energy Metabolism, Heart, Skeletal Muscles and Nervous System | 100 Tablets

This product was recommended to me by my functional medicine practitioner. I have high insulin and see reactive protein levels, and my doctor indicated that high insulin levels also leaches magnesium from the body. Four years I have been able to sleep no more than five hours a night. However after taking one tablet in the morning and two tablets just before bed, I am easily sleeping 7 to 8 hours a night. I highly recommend this product if you are under a lot of stress or struggling with high cortisol and insulin levels for whatever reason. Magnesium provides a sense of calm as well. I have taken other magnesium supplements before: however, I have not experienced results as positive as I have with the Douglas labs products. I highly recommend this brand.

Really helped with my nightly leg cramps

If you're on a keto or low carb diet, these work great. At the beginning of my new way of eating I would sometimes get the jitters and read it could be from electrolyte loss. So I started taking magnesium and it did the trick. Feeling strong now.

Love the product not so much the person who sent it to me, was a week or so past the time when I was suppose to receive it and finally had to email him with info or when it was coming, I will never buy anything else from his again. But I do love Douglas Laboratories Products, they are the best!

This product met all my needs for magnesium. I researched a lot for the right type and the chelated form is supposedly one of the best absorbed. I can tell that this product readily dissolves and takes effect quickly. Please talk to your doctor before taking any supplements.

The bottle I received had elongated pills (not round), as shown in the picture. I was hopeful the elongated shape would be easy to swallow; however, because there is no slippery coating, they get stuck in my throats and trigger my gag reflex. I like the price for this type of magnesium, but if I can't swallow them, they are not worth much. I may try crushing into yogurt to finish out the bottle.

I'm fitness coach for about 8 years and I have used magnesium in different forms and from different brands, and this one has to be the less "swallow friendly" of all, and the effectiveness was none. Didn't notice anything. I have noticed a good effect with other brands. I Will not recomend this to a any body.

I was previously taking Enzymatic Therapy's chelated Krebs Magnesium & Potassium. Even though the Douglas Labs formulation has less milligrams, it definitely feels stronger. Magnesium is a relaxant that helps you wind down for the evening, and it's also a laxative (one of the ways I found out that the Douglas Labs formulation was stronger). I'm only giving 4 stars because although these tablets are not large, they are chalky with hard edges and seem to get stuck in my throat on the way down.
