It was a gift for a child. I didn’t hear any complaints so I can assume it’s good.

We gave this video to our grandson for his birthday and he was very excited to receive.

Fun game, my son loves it. It's got a creative mode kinda like minecraft but has unique features unlike other games we have.

This is especially great if your gamer happens to play Space Engineers. Very similar but on a gaming console! My 14 try old has enjoyed this quite a bit! Definitely recommend this for a strategic player. Parents, great game if you do not care for the1st person shooter games!

The good: Its very creative and fun to play. Open world concept, do what you want in whatever order while still having objectives if you like. Great for young kids who want to play on the PS4 and you don't want them playing shooting/killing games. The only way to die, that I'm aware of, is suffocating, fall damage, and some rare plant life. So good for younger kids IMO. Make no mistake though, you will have to help young ones with how to do things, menu systems, how to craft materials, etc. It's sort of like Minecraft without monsters and in space.The Bad: This game needs some serious patching for PS4 users. The picking and placing can be very frustrating attempting to put things in their place. Like attempting to put something into the shredders and it falling through and then not being able to pick up the scrap unless you take apart everything and move them away followed by reassembly. Another example would be when attempting to place anything, you hear the "click" like its in place, you press the button to place it, BUT right at that moment the camera angle changes automatically and you place it 30 feet away or drop it on top of the smelter or storage or rover or (whatever).When attempting to play in multiplayer the lag is so bad its impossible to do anything. It feels like you're playing on a dial up modem and I have 1G fiber internet. Initially I thought something was wrong with my internet or PS4 but I could immediately change to Call of Duty and play online without problem. Change back to Astroneer and play multiplayer and the lag returns. It feels very much like they don't have the servers/backbone to support multiplayer. My son and I cannot play together, which was the goal of the purchase, yet we can play Fortnite and COD at the same time without lag...ever.

The kids love this (9 year olds). They have picked up quite the vocabulary from it! Such a cool exploration game!
