First, although the package is labelled as 4 oz, it actually has only 101g of epazote, i.e. 3.56 oz.Also, there are a lot of stems in it.If you're making tea, that doesn't matter much.And some people say the stems are edible in food. But I've found that even after cooking for half an hour in a pressure cooker, they're tough.So, I pick out a lot of stems by hand, and then rub the rest through a sieve.I weighed the stems and what didn't go through the sieve, and the total in the "4 ounce" package was 42.1 grams = 1.485 oz.So, there was 2.08 oz of usable epazote spice in the "4 ounce" package.Using this info one can compare the price and quality of different brands of epazote.

Like the quantity for the price. We use it to flavor soups and stews.

I know the description says this includes stems, but this look like someone threw the bush in a chipper. There is far more wood than leaf, and I can barely smell it. I will NOT buy this again.

An awful lot of tough stems that even the food processor couldn’t reduce to usable powder.
